Want to try beta first

Hello, firstly would like to apologise for my first post regarding this, I was experiencing browser issues

Anyway. I have been reading about LOTRO for a few months now on and off, seems like the perfect game to replace WoW (Quit a while ago). I learnt from Vanguard it is better to try it out first before dipping into your wallet and splashing out :P

It seems alot of people have gained access to the Beta on these forums, just wondering if there is like a "trick" to get chosen. I have signed up for the beta with all 3 of my e-mails and heard nothing from Turbine about it since.

I would really like to give this game a shot before going out and buying it, which I feel I am close to doing already. If someone can lend me theirs or tell me of a different way to get it or whatever, I'd be very greatful.

Willing to give you a Vanguard buddy key or somthing for a key or whatever. Thanks

    I think fileplanet are giving away free keys atm.

    Also, even if you don't get into CB, there will be a real open beta starting in April, (unlike what VG did). Everyone who wants will be able to see this game run before buying if they want to.... for a period of 3 weeks before launch, (that's a longer open beta than WoW had if I remember correctly).



    EDIT: well, barring the possible open-beta cap. Just read another post here saying there might be a cap on open beta keys.... don't know.

    Ok thanks I now have a beta key. Just wondering though, is there anywhere besides fileplanet that I can download the EU client? Another website or even a torrent.
    The reason that I ask is because my connection isnt 100% stable all the time, and unless I pay a monthly fee, I can not continue failed downloads from fileplanet.

    If you can get a copy of the UK PCGamer for April, that has the client on it....not sure if the other EU countries have the same, or if you can hold of it.

    Use Fileplanet's Download Manager. It will allow you to manage and resume downloads from it.

    is fileplanet giving away keys for people outside of europe anymore?

    I could only find europe when i looked.
