Ok my decision for a new game is coming soon. I need something.

I have been signed up for CoH beta for like a year, and still no dice(yes im also signed up on the forums). I'm really thinking about getting CoH but I just cant bring myself to buy a game that I may not like. I know it may sound corny, but the last 2 games i bought(horizons and shadowbane) were a total letdown. Thats like over $100 wasted.

I'm asking, NOT begging, if anyone would be willing to share an account with me for a day perhaps. I can usually get a pretty good feel for the game in a day. I could tell from lineage2 and ryzom in a day that i did not like the games(sorry, gave away the accounts).

Please dont reply here insulting me for asking. I dont have my hopes up, but sometimes a kind soul takes pity on a guy like me.

Plus you dont have to worry about me stealing it because your PlayNC account password can be different then the CoH game account password. At least..it was that way with lineage2

 Well  let me say this, buying games has always had risk involved. Nature of the beast. you win some you lose some. I know how you feel. I too preordered Horizons PLUS the guide book. ahhh hmmm  Did play for two months. (wanted to make sure how I felt so gave it a good test) I also played beta Lineage 2. Horizons had some good things, and Lineage 2 had killer graphics. I preordered City of Heroes and have been playing solid for a week now. This game is super fun, super easy to get into, super good people, super easy to get a group, (or solo) and NICE graphics. Since I'm old enough to be a grandfather to most of you, I've been around to have played evey game out there. The only negitive things I have read about this game is there might not be enough content to sustain for extended time. Well, I don't have a answer to that. Maybe I will in a month. I can't possably know what will make you happy, but can say this. if you buy this game from what I am seeing so far, you wont feel dissapointed in the initial play period. You know how many bats, and rats I've killed over the years? Kill stealing, camping, waiting for mana, medding as you watch TV, spending all your free game time just trying to find your bloody corpse? Getting PKed whilst fighting a mob and then getting it rubbed in your face? Standing around trying to get a group? You know in this game if your level 3 and I'm level 20 you can come join my group by allowing me to mentor you and you playing one level below me? No power leveling, no twinking, no boting, just log on and have at your disposal non-stop action fun and good clean family killing 

Nuff said, now go out there and kick some booty...

I just pre-ordered the game yesterday through my local eb store. I realize getting into the beta might still be a longshot but am I still going to get the extra stuff like special powers and early release?

Unfortunately, i do not have the money to waste anymore. Currently about 90% of my income goes to bills a month. So wasting $50 to me is like, putting my utility bill off for 2 weeks lol. Perhaps that will change once i get a new roomate who actually pays rent heh. Although living alone is kinda nice, its definately not financially efficient for me.

Hence the reason i was asking for someone to possibly share there account with me for a day. I can understand the people who pre-ordered wouldnt share, since that will be there main account, but im sure there are a few people out there that may be willing to let me play for a day or so on there regular beta invite accounts. I just hope they read this heh.

Yeah I know what you mean, I keep thinking it would be cool if someone from the Boise, Idaho area who had a beta I could come check out the game. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who the beta so I guess I am out of luck.

Head to your local EB Games/Gamestop/etc and put down $5 for the pre-order. That'll let you into beta to check it out and you're only out $5 if you decide you don't like it. I know, beta's aren't supposed to be for people to just check out a game, but beta ends in a few days anyhow so what's the harm. By doing this you also get a nifty graphic added to sprinting that only pre-order people get, you can reserve a character name, and you get to play for 3 days before live to get a head start on your characters if you so choose. I've only been playing a few days myself, but so far I think it's pretty darn cool!

I have had an amazing time playing the CoH beta so far.  I personally would recommend trying this one out, although you might end up hating it.  These games are all about people's personal opinions on what they like.  CoH is a brand new type of MMO, which is why it will be so popular.  They took a different path with the heroes idea instead of the typical fantasy setting.  Missions are fun, and the teams are amazing!  Soloing is still okay but to really take advantage of the game you need to get in a group ......As for you, maybe you will get into the beta in the next few days

I went a month ago to get pre order box but they were long sold out here anywhere. Though I have heard and saw enough to make me believe it will be worth the money. Might be nice to start three days early but I can wait I guess. Thought maybe if I pre-ordered the game they might just let me in anyway but I haven't gotten any response from anyone so I guess not. Well guess I will just have to wait till the 28th

It said they are still giving out pre-order beta access. So Hopefully illll get in heh.
