I re-subed to EQ2 this weekend after realizing that Vanguard is 2-3 years away from being ready for release and see that the server list is all Medium to Heavy. Even my old Venekor PVP server is at medium and 4 months ago it was barren. I log into A-B to pursue a little PvE action and it is packed.
Is EQ2 making some type of resurgence after 2 years or is this not normal? What's the deal?

I've actually been wondering about checking it out again... feeling kinda screwed at the moment after V:SoH was such a waste of money.
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
The 7 day trial has been patching for a couple hours and has a couple more but hopefully I get to see what the game is all about soon!

Welcome back
I also gave up on VSOH a couple weeks ago and am back to playing EQ2. In fact, it seems like I am seeing more new people coming from VSOH than I am coming from WOW.
EQ2 is a far better game than when I quit the first time around (about 18 months ago).
BTW, you can buy the EOF expansion in EB etc and online, and it includes all previous expansions. Costs about $35 I think.
Of course it might be that nobody ever admits they played WOW
Cheers
I tried Vanguard but quit at level 26, nothing to do but really LFG; it was not fun for ME (might be for others).
As I write this, I am downloading the trial version. I tried to return to WoW but was going brain dead playing. lol.
