I have not heard anything yet, but has anything been mentioned about the other warhammer races? Perhaps in expansions? I Know I would love to see Skaven and Lizardmen become a playable option some time down the road. They could balance it out by adding Bretonnia and Wood Elves on the order side or something.

However if Skaven or Lizardmen can be implemented nicely I truly think one of them should be a new race in the next expansion.

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
and nothing has been mentioned as far as I know
They've said that they will add new races in one video. And in another they've said that when they tried to decide which races to put in the game they ended up knowing the content of their expansions 10 years ahead I could try to find theese vids if anyone wants.

As for being too early for an expansion, well yeah they need to finish beta and release the game before really "thinking" about expansion. But it doesn't hurt to have ideas and write them out for later, such as "Hey, maybe we should introduce Skavens and <insert another race here> in the expansion, as well as these other crafting ideas we have but don't have time to work on right now since we need to hit release".
With all the excitement that seems to be surrounding this game and how well they are capturing the Warhammer look and feel, I figured someone (whether a dev or a PR person) would have mentioned something about the other races of Warhammer Fantasy. Thats all.
I think a lot of that rests on the fact that WAR isn't going to have any stealthy races. I've heard that a lot of Skaven stuff is sneaky, which isn't fun in an MMO (rogues, druids, etc.) in the eyes of EA Mythic.
Also, I'd like to take the opportunity to say I think leaving stealth out of a PvP oriented game is such a breath of fresh air.

The Skaven only have one "stealth" unit, the Clan Eshin Assassins, which are a special single unit that you would attach to a regular unit of skaven. When they met up with a enemy unit, you could choose to pop out the assassin, and have it attack the enemies champion or whatever.
They do have a skirmish unit, the Gutter Runners, who are somewhat rogue-like, but do not stealth, they just get the normal skirmish bonuses. Been a while since I've read the rulebooks/army list, so I may be off a bit, but that pretty much covers it.
The classes would be easy enough, Stormvermin for the heavy melee, Gutter Runner for the dps melee, Warpfire Thrower, or Jezailach(sp?) for Ranged melee, or even the Plague Censer bearer. Grey Seer for magic/healing, though healing wouldn't fit well with the Skaven, what with their fixation with disease.
As far as the Order side, I'd like to see Wood Elves, personally. Just as long as they did Wardancers as one of the classes.
They're a bit screwed for Order, though, as the only other faction besides the wood elves they could add are Bretonnians, where Chaos has three other Gods they could add, Skaven, and Lizardmen.
I imagine they'd add Skaven or Lizardmen, and most likely Wood Elves in either the first/second expansion, and then add Khorne/Nurgle/Slaanesh as other options for Chaos players, and some of the other colleges of magic for the Order players.

Neither do the Chaos, really. At least they didn't when I played. Granted, that was some years ago, so they may have changed some of the lore since then. But back then, Chaos was not an organized collective group, like the humans, or dwarves. They were just roving warbands as likely to kill each other as they were anyone else. From what I've read/heard, they're using the barbarian city(ies) in the North as the Chaos home base.
Yes, having Skaven as a playable race would require bending some of the canon a bit to make them fit within the WAR framework. Which they've had to do for some things anyway. Though, I thought they had a 'city' at the center of their underground network of tunnels. Even if it isn't specifically mentioned in the lore, it wouldn't be too terribly hard to do, and from the perspective of raiding their home 'city', it would be pretty interesting waging a war through the tunnels, and such, compared to the usual 'have fun storming the castle' crap that taking a human city entails.

Interesting. I am not too familiar with Warhammer lore. It would be interesting to have a race descend into a tunnel system to fight, but I can also see how the opposing faction might just put a hose in the hole and crank the water on.
I'm kind of glad Skaven aren't playable for now. I will make it more interesting when expansions hit and non-playable races get a shot.
