    An online racing MMO needs more variety than mountain racing, more locations than Asaki(?), should never have bad rap music (or bad music period) and needs better cgi; but it could adopt the great writing a show like Initial D provides.


    Fast and the Furious? I enjoyed the first movie a lot but it has less depth about driving and mechanics than Mario Kart. It's mostly style and flash and that's all it has going for it and emulating that style wouldn't be hard but why bother. Each racing game should try making it's own image instead of copying the imagery of other racing related media.

    I agree on the no bad rap music.  But then again, that was just the dubbed version of Initial D.  The eurobeat soundtrack was great.  Also, there should absolutely be more content than just mountain races, but I'd like to see it implemented.

    Given EA's track record with Earth & Beyond and Motor City Online we can only hope they will avoid making any MMOG's in the future. 

    Yes I would think a high customization feature would be very important in any racing game.  Not just cosmetic details but under the hood details as well.

    I'd like a beast racing game where you raise animals, breed them etc. and then watch them race other beasts (more like horse races without a rider than car racing). You could sign them up for events, place bets etc. and then either watch them live or log in later and replay the events to see how the animal did. I'd probably want to have a gladiatorial aspect as well but since this is a "racing mmo" thread I won't get in to that.



    Experience could be gained by both trainers, owners and animals. "Levels" or ranks could be used to improve their AI as well as their physical abilities. Rare breeds could be found, unlocked etc. and be highly coveted as stud animals. Special (magical?) harnesses, food etc. could be purchased to give them boosts.



    Players could interact by placing bets, selling and trading animals, putting their animals out to stud for a price etc. "Quests" could be done by either animal, owner or both. It could have all the typical MMO experiences but in a totally different format.
