Asguard in the MMO? *Show spoliers*

in Stargate Worlds

DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING if you haven't watched the last episode of season 10.0

So with the Asguard blowing up their home planet and committing mass suicide. How could they be in game? I didn't really care for that episode as I found one of my favorite races coming to an end. If I recall I think the devs said that they wont be a playable race.

 

Anyone else think that the third SG series will be "Stargate Odyssey"?

    Simple, The events / storyline fall into place before the end of season 10...

    The game's storyline will be from Season 3 to the end of season 7, where the "atlantis expansion" will continue from there on. (Makes sense... )

    what was the reasoning for the mass suicide?

    They ended up with giving themselves an illness because of the genetic thing they had (infinite life)

    First off, yeh game set in series 3 - 7.



    Just as a note any1 else feel cheated by the last episode? How could the Asguard NOT cure their problem. they found an old (not short) Asgard in a pod on one of their ships, so they have their DNA from before the whole 'no sex now we gunna die' thing set in.



    basically all clone in2these new bodies, which are just cloans of the old version (still following this?) and then have lots of BABIES!! Stupid Asguard. BAD WRITERS!



    Im loving the look of this game, hope there is space combat :D

    No space combat in the inital release, sorry. :(

    It will be great in a future expansion to have space combat in order to destroy is little Humans

    Wow,  well at least Thor could have given Earth all of their battle cruisers and Tech.  Come on how many times did we save their buts!!!

    Biggest. SG1. Resurrection. Ever.

    Think about it, dying and coming back to life is practically a prerequisite. Daniel would die at the drop of a hat just so he could come back in a Sarcophagus and later, without the Sarcophagus! Its like he used it as training wheels for shuffling back on the mortal coil and then learned to do it by himself. :p

    This is taken from the FAQ :



    What races will be playable in Stargate Worlds?

    Our current plan is for players to choose to play the ‘Big Four’ races within the Stargate Universe. Humans, Jaffa, Goa’uld and Asgard.



    So Asgard is gona be a playable race. According to stargate world home page.

    Goa’uld and Asgard = Goa’uld+Asgard   now that would be a combo

    Where are you guys seeing that the MMO will be set between seasons 3 and 7?

    Also just because their planet blew up, doesn't mean all Asgard are dead. I'm sure there are some that decided to continue on and try to find a cure anyway.

    Plus, Asgard are definately playable in the MMO. From what I heard they'll be a hybrid type character, able to fight or heal or do other stuff based on what type of "drone" they have out.
