in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

The plan is that over the next 24 hours 100 great things about Vanguard will be listed below.

If anyone decides to try and sabotage this thread by listing a load of negative gobble-di-gooke then please try and rise above it by not replying to it. They don't like it when we don't bite, so don't let them reel you in folks.

Number 1.

    This is going to be the funniest thread on the entire forum upon completion but I will play.

    2)Vanguards crafting although very taxing is very rewarding because you can make your own house and ship.

    3. The diplomacy system is innovative and fun, and a BLAST to play... and provides a really great change of pace from the more typical adventuring/crafting activities of most MMORPGs.

    4. One of the first quests in Khal was to take a Camel down a hill. The view as I did this was amazing. The view distance and the city of Khal gradually getting larger and larger was pretty immerssive. I fell in love with the game after that quest

    6. Vanguard has a huge landscape on 3 continents (that I know of). Combined with the far better graphics (compared to wow) this makes exploration great fun.

    ok I also gotta comment on that camel. I had to adjust my camera, so I did not look straight into its... behind. But the quest was fun and had a beutifull otherwise.

    I am in no way shape of form a Vanguard hater.  I tend to defend it even though I don't play it because all the haters annoy me.  That being said doesnt EQ2 have more classes/races?

    7) 80% of the map that comes with the game is labeled as uncharted water, so we have no idea what is out there and it makes you want to explore.

    8) The starting quest in Tanvu for my Monk was a great surprise.

    13. The way that death is a pain in the ass. I don't like dieing, so it makes me not want to even more. Groups have even more reason to not want to whipe.

    14.  SInce it is part of the SoE line of games, it was pretty easy and painless to Cancel.  In the same vein, it will also be very easy to subscribe and try it out again in a year or so when the beta is completed.

    15. sigil's stance on gold sellers, and the communities willingness to help them enforce it.  Wether or not they succeed in the long run, its good to see a company make some serious effort to stop this.
