I absolutely agree this game suxs! Have been in many alpha/betas, and this ranks as the single most broing repetitive game I can remember ever playin in. The only people who like it are frankly looney-tune "hard-core" "power-gamer" types, and of course the strangely fanatical fanboi cohorts that the company seems to breed in some black lab somewhere. This is a perfect game for the asian market who goes nuts for hard-core power-gamer crap, but the more mature western market wants a game now with some substance, some depth (more of a real virtual world, than just a game)
i find lineage 2 one of the best games ive played since legend of mir.....their service is great..once their is a problem the ppl at the server try and take care of it as soon as possible even tho they are not the developers...they are only technicians.
they have not introduced the chrnicle patch because they are not testing it....its a beta test not a free ride please keep in mind....
Ok, a valid point. If the technicians fix things thats good. If the technicians change things without the developers knowing thats a problem.
game play isnt good u say...wat game play is any game suks at teh end of the day just kos u cant be arsed to devote urself to it.....u want to level 75 in 5 seconds right and u want foxes to drop p attack a billion items too right...hey if u dont like it please dont complain ur not paying
Shouldn't a game appease casual and hard-core players? But hey, your right about them not paying if they don't like it.
the karma system is not totally that crap use tactics fool go purple to start a fight dont kill ur enemy without leting him go purple and if u go red get ut friend to make white by killing u and then resurecting u. oh u loose xp well too bad i like the xp looses it keeps ppl in control u cant just go around killing ppl and having a laugh..may be the player on the other may feel bad kos they are loosing exp when u killed him
What?! Why should players have to go through the trouble of having a friend...kill and ressurrect them? What if your friend just kills you and leaves you? What if you can't find someone willing to kill then ressurrect you? It's ridiculous. What do you mean "Keeps people in control"? "You lose xp, too bad"? You seem pretty biased...are you sure you aren't promoting L2 sales?
The thing I can't understand is how anyone ever thought this would be a good game. Sure the screenshots looked great, but any description of the gameplay had to leave you wondering just how shallow it might be. I mean, what exactly lead you to believe that it might be anything other than a sadistic lvl grind with little to no content? The castle seige? Granted, that sounds pretty good, but it's not enough to prop up an otherwise mindless game.
There were two clues that should have left you with little doubt that this game has little to offer. The first is the predecessor. It's basically the same game with less impressive graphics. It's a lvl grind at its finest.
The second clue was Korean gaming culture. Imagine sitting at a PC cafe with your friends and going on a PvP/PvE rampage. Sounds kinda fun right? OK, that's what's going on half a planet away. Now, here we are in the states sitting alone in front of our computers. PvP/PvE killin ad nauseum doesn't sound so fun. What makes this game fun is the environment in which it's played.
Well see, the newbie island (AKA Talking Island) gets boring really fast, there is actually nothing to do on there. thus, I took a ship to this gludio place.
the mobs are JUST my level (actually yellow) but there are so many more people, and so much more interaction
this change may keep me playing for ...I would say 3 more days..

Well my view is useless since I already went into the game expecting it to suck and it did.
But while lineage is not so popular as warcraft or EQ in the western hemisphere it has a huge huge loyal following in the asian countries.
So it will be a huge hit anyhow. But yeah I would be giving it a miss when it goes retail.
