How do I get into open beta?

Well, I don't really know. I got my account key and game dl from PC Gamer magazine, but before that I won it from this website, and gave it to someone who wanted it much more than I.



I know that you can download the game from a turbine.com thing, but I think you might need a code or something to start downloading it.

I've been in Closed Beta since November and have seen no mention of any free open beta with any fan sites so far, and there might not be one, because Turbine is taking a different approach to open beta.
I take it you want to play for free? The closest you'll get to free while at the same time insuring you'll get in, is to buy a pre-order box at Best Buy for USD $10.00

General public access starts 06 April. No word yet on where or how the keys will be distributed or who is hosting the download.

ok, thanks for the info.  I am excited to find out more on this one.  Sounds like a game that is finally geting some positive feedback from people.

AND... you get till May 24 to redeem the pre-order... in other words, $10 to play from Mar-30 till May-24 (almost 2 months).
