is this game good for a trio of casual players?

I played DDO back in beta and i thought the combat system was very cool(hope it hasnt changed much) and was thinking of coming back. I have 2 buddies that play EQ2 with me and we are all maxed out with little to nothing to do and we are kinda getting burnt out on it. So we are looking for a new game that is more action oriented.

I have read that this game is group oriented, now does that mean full group or can a trio be successful in the game as well.

D&D online is perfect for a casual effort for 3 people. it not a big cost for a bit of fun. It is a totally instanced game fyi not a big world to run around in like some games of today but there are a crap load of instances to enjoy. Make a well rounded trio that work well with each othe. IE : wiz or sorc , fighter, pally or barbarian and thief and your set.

I'm sure you can have lots of fun with a trio, but you may require more players to do some of the quests.

if you're new to D&D I advise you to create several character until you fell you came up with a strong build
