If this stays that way im kind of disappointed if you can only use a flute, they are a type of bard and they usually have a poetic sense of abilitys considering you use more then one form to express it, such as other instruments and singing directly. I know its a differant settings but I would like to see a variety in instruments and singing.

I'd like to see Minstrels having access to a few more unique instruments.  Possible 3-5 that are specific to Minstrel, but not including the intruments other classes play.  This way a Guardian might still be in the band for his Horn skills, and we won't have every band made up of low level mistrels.

minstrels have access to all the instruments, you can train them at lvl 5 if memory serves. As far as singing I doubt that is technically possible at this time

Heh, it'd be funny if they rigged voice chat so you could project your voice from your toon.

edit: In no way am I suggesting this as a seious idea.. but it would be funny to try.

Ok cool so you do get other instruments, and as far as singing it would be possible if there is voice at all in this game.

Minstrels do get to play all instruments.  You need to purchase them from a bard.

As far as singing, there is no reason a musician couldn't invite a few listeners to a Fellowship, and sing for the company using in game voice chat.   I'm not sure how Voice and Raid works, but if that has access to in Game Voice chat as well, the musician could invite in a large group of listeners.
