Am I the only one who found gw pve and skills boring?

Ok so I have prophecys and factions sitting here, and both I tried for pve and found it boring pvp was fun though. Now I am major on pve and I was told nightfall was far more fun because of more skills and the pve in general is this true? The truth is alot of mmos spoled pve for me on other games and I went to gw and it was just dull to me. I am not bashing at all guys and I know its free online I just want to make sure its me or maybe I did not give it long enough. Btw my highest pve is only level 8 elementalist but like I said I was not impressed by the spells and pve.

nightfall worth it, it way better than factions and prophecies imo , although all 3 have their charms. But if you found  that many possibilities of skill builds then you might be looking for something else.... or maybe check arround on the web for ele builds and how to play those builds :)

because if nightfall you  deal with more skills/classes (heros) than the others.

You havent no where gave it long enough! If your still at lvl 8 your gonna be possibly in pre searing in prophecies or in factions on noob island. The higher the lvl you get the more skill points you get which can be used with payment to a skill trainer in some towns to aquire new skills. There are dozens and dozens of skills to pick from, the further into the game the more powerful the skills will become available from the skill trainers.

I just made another character on Factions today i've been playing for just over an hour and i goto lvl 9. Point being, you really cant make your mind up on the game until you have experienced atleast 75% of its content. In PvE you have experienced maybe 5% of the game if that. PvE gets better and better if your playing Alliance Battles, and Balthazaar rewards you get you can use to unlock more skills including "elite" skills which you can only cap in PvE giving you a chance to experience what they are like. In Prophecies get out of the pre-searing area, then get out of the boring Ascalon area by completing the city mission quests furthering you into the game and story arc. In Factions get of noob island and onto the mainland, start doing the quests to get filled in about the story line, and as you progress maybe join a guild and choose whether to go Luxon or Kurzick. Most fun further down the road.

Personally I would wait and do more of the other 2 games before you get nightfall, learn how it works and then progress. Nightfall does offer in my opinion the second best story line after the Original.

Need any help In Game Name = Amazing Avery

Well my elementalist is off the newbie isle but the quests seem like the same things over and over, and I cannot find any groups to make it more interesting and I was also told nightfall skills where better for elementalists and assasins. But so far the spells didnt look all that great to me is what I was really trying to say.

No offense but I fail to see how other MMoRPGs could *spoil* anyone with their PvE. I really hated the passive mob herds with no AI which were in every other MMoRPG I tried so far. I also hated the "kill ten rats" quests and I especially hated how I was supposed to kill these beasts for hours in order to level my character. GW on  the other hand had no grind (well ok Nightfall has some because apparently people asked for it) the basic quests were a bit more diverse than Kill x amount of creatures and the missions themselves are still unmatched when it comes to quest diversity and for once you actually get a decent storyline to go with. Oh and which was the last MMoRPG you saw where monsters can actually work in organized teams against you ?

Oh well, tastes can differ I guess.

I just didnt find it in depth enough but I think its clear I have not played it enough so I will, secondly you do realize by saying you guess means you really dont agree right? I cannot stand it when people say to each there own I guess thats just silly, if you dont mean it dont say it.

I thought Guild Wars...stunk.  Yeah it's free to play, but big deal.  The PvP sucked, the quests sucked.  Playing with NPC's with bad AI sucked.  I just plain hated it.  But to each there own.
