Not that I'm surprised or anything. Fanbois typically don't, especially when they are new and the graphics are still selling them....
On second thought that's not true. You read the title I'm betting.
It's a simple matter of pointing out the facts. Fact one, there is a lot of interesting discussion in here you will ignore because the title of the post is critical of your new religion. Yet you will take the time to troll it, and I'm thankful because the thread lives as long as you adorn it with your comments ::::28::
So I'd like to take the time to thank you for your commentary, even though none of it had anything to do with the discussion at hand.

First off, please read this entire post Wepps.

Sorry to have derailed you glorious post but if you take the time to read it again, my post was all about you. I consider you a nice person, maybe not so much when you lash out at me, but a nice person none the less. I am anything but a fanboi and admitted in my post how new I am to the game, I'm merely wondering about you Wepps. How you quit the game but you keep harping on it, it really must be a good game for it to have that effect on you, right?

You read through and somehow found a months old post that you started and drudge up stuff about a video game, one that is thriving atm in spite of its problems, wouldn't that time you spend here be better spent smelling roses as it were? I asked a few questions of you in my post and you didn't answer one of them. The subject of the thread be damned, I'm asking about you and your seeming inability to get on with gaming without the ghost of Star Wars Galaxies haunting you. There must be something good about it to make keep who quit so lively in its forums, right?

A simple "I just can't seem to let it go." will suffice.

EDIT: there, I read it all.image Sorry customer, very intersting and kinda funny. What it shows besides having all those problems, is the amazing breadth and diversity of things to do in the game! Have you ever heard of a game with so many features and just plethora and variety of things to occupy your time with? Man, SWG makes WoW look like Tetris. I am more intrigued than ever about the possibilities in this game, and man you have to cut them some slack, sure theres problems but it's because of the sheer ambitiousness of the game. Maybe they really should hire you on in the game, you seem to know more about it than the actual devs do, but can you really blame them? Not everyone, even employees, live and breathe a game in the same way, or at least to the extent that you do. Man what a game.

And finally, amazing post Wepps, I already knew you were smart though, but how can you ever truly quit this game, you're like Marilyn Monroe: you know too much! image You haven't quit this game till you can let it go, might as well come back and start playing again, preferrably with me on Naritus. Send Freelan a tell when you do! image

I think every SW fan wants to see SWG suceed. Unfortunately SOE/LA seem hell-bent on creating a bastardized form of the SW mythology. Also, I'm convinced the devs could screw-up a 'Hello World' app.

So, even though I've decided to let my subscription lapse again, I'll continue to follow and comment on the game. If my remarks are false, I've no issue with being corrected.

    Anarchy, who cares? Really.

I always wanted to see this game succeed. That has never changed. Perhaps pointing out what's obvious over and over might someday have the proper effect, and either in this product or a possible SWG2 there might be some serious management changes.

Yeah I know it's a longshot. SOE is all garnish and not a lot of meat anymore, just take a good realistic look at EQ2. It has NOTHING of what made EQ1 great. Planetside is an FPS with persistent worlds. SWG is a total mess, with tons of major changes yet to be even realized after 5 years of development.

Like I said, someday you will come to realize that you have been experimented on, rather than provided an excellent form of entertainment for a realistic price.

    But alas, that isn't today.

EQ2 has nothing of what made EQ1 great? Raiding was a major memory of EQ1 and the cooperation it took which made it great; EQ2 has that. Rather than list the plethora of things EQ2 has in common with EQ1 I'll just agree to disagree on that one.

You have many, many good points, I will give you that. The O.P. was a great read and kind of a good history lesson to get me up to speed. I enjoy SWG though, and I've barely taken a nibble from the great smorgasbord that it seems to be. Yes, I enjoy it and that's all that matters to me. Perhaps I'm just much, much, much easier to please than you. My glass is half full, and will probably always be with any decent release game.

And about you, who cares? Me. I care about you and I want you and everyone else in this world to be happy like me. Man, its video games! We are SO lucky to live in a free society where we can sit on our lazy arses and debate the constructs and qualities of online video games. So I only asked because I care, and I don't think it's healthy for anyone to dwell in and on the negative for so long. I heartily respect your right to do so, as it is always done in a civil and intelligible manner, I only question it because I give a damn. I'm good like that.image

I think you can post a negative review or statement, while having a smile on your face. ^_^

I can only speak for myself, but MMOs are a bit different with respects 'it's only a game'. I find that I put more time, money, and become more involved with the communities then I do with single player games. Keep in mind, I'm more concerned with the development of the game, rather than if I have the best gear, own in PvP, etc. With SWG, I continue to see potential and hope that one day things turn around for the game.

Negative reviews aren't always a bad or ill tempered thing.

lol yes. Tehre was about a span of 4 weeks when she used my account. She had just gotten the job over at CCP (EVE-Online) and was thrilled. Instead of creating a new account she just used mine. Yup...wow those threads bring back memories. Waaay before I was staff.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
