Beta servers need to come up already!

I can't wait any longer! Driving me crazy waiting for the servers to come up.

I went out to a bar with friends, had a blast... came home... checked on the servers... crashed... woke up and checked again.  I'm anticipating the servers to come up also but I just can't sit still going mad about WHEN oh WHEN will I be able to click 'play' finally.

Just wondering though, what server will people be on:

Lol dummies read the LOTRO forums the devs said they wont be coming up until early this evening.

I'd expect around 5-6 pm EST.

No the LotRO forums are saying early this afternoon EST.  That would be anywhere from Noon to around 5:00PM EST.  I'm guessing maybe 1:00-2:00PM EST.

I read em and they said they wouldn't say when they were putting em up due to flooding the servers all at once.



I completely understand that, and I don't know why they don't put em up now while everyone is still at work!

Because they know all of us are in the bushes just waiting... hehehe.  Well I'm periodically checking the server status, I'll post as soon I know they're live.

Early afternoon... i'm HOPING for around noon... i'm checking every hour. And i'll be heading to Landroval.

I do believe I saw a hint on their official notification that it would be early afternoon for the States...most probably sometime after lunch...12ish to 1ish...



Anyway, I'm sure it will be up and running by the time I get home from the office.

Support starts at noon [per their website], most likely they will start opening servers then.  Having never waited so anxiously for a game to start before, I wonder if all the servers will start at once or if they will cascade.  Anyone ever been there waiting for the lights to go on in some other game?

I was going to take the day off, but then i remembered that when they opened beta 1, it was in the late afternoon/early evening.

I don't expect the servers to come up until they have had time to run tests and get ready for the flood. I am sure they have to be ready for the servers to be flooded and to open up more on the fly.



I think Turbine is trying to make this go as smooth as possible and that will take some time to prepare.

I would rather have a smaller chance of server crash and start later than have a constant crash, change server, crash, etc (like another popular MMO did during launch a few years ago).

Turbine has been quite intelligent with the way they've handled a lot of things having to do with this game, I expect no less for their launch.  They know what they're doing.  I think it's going to go off just fine but I'm eager to know just how many people will be playing world-wide at launch.  To everyone out there - Cheers.

No... i have never EVER waited so anxiously for a game to open it's doors before... I've been playing since EQ1 and i've played almost all the commercial mmo's released... and i don't know why but i've never ben so excited about one.

Whichever one is supposed to be the RP server is where I am going. I think it is Landroval but not exactly sure.
