Hello All,
My first post here so take it easy with me...please...
Today i pre-ordered LOTRO from Ebgames at Knox, Victoria.
I put a $20 deposit down for the collectors/special edition which is $119. I was told that the game would be on sale and ready to be picked up around the start of April.
I also phoned Dandenong Ebgames and they told me that the game will be out around the end of the week for pre-order customers.
Question is which Ebgames is correct?
Also, how do i obtain a founders pre-order key to gain access to the game earlier? and do i have to download the game to get this "exclusive" access?
Finally, should i have gone to Ebgames to pre-order or does any fellow aussies know of a better place to get a pre-order copy of LOTRO?

The game is currently in Open Beta...which means people who have pre-ordered the game can download it and enter for free (they'll provide you with a key).
However, if you're Australian, you'll need to buy it from Amazon.com and they will provide you with a key (the second one) and you can enter immediately. But, you'll have to wait a few weeks to receive the game (after the official release).
However, if you don't pre-order, you can still download and enter the game on the 6th of April.
The game is scheduled for official release and will be open to all on the 24th of April.

Turbine should have made this clearer from the beginning.
Pre-order online anywhere, you should get a beta key in the mail by a thursday. If that key doesn't come e-mail the place you pre-ordered and ask them.
If you pre-ordered and paid the full price , then you credit card will not be builded until the game ships, and you will still get your beta key e-mailed.
Pretty much standard practice in any mmo. with the bonus of pre-order people being founders and get to choose between 2 different payment plans

These keys work and are official. I am in the game now, many people in the Turbine forum have also used this. It is the special founders key and can be upgraded with any full key later.
I am in NZ BTW, so there is NP using it
For $5 ($7 NZ) u can't go wrong
