in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

As you probably know, the visual style of Warhammer predates World of Warcraft by more than 20 years.

Warhammer Online only carries forward this tradition.

    There have been 10 or 15 threads on the differences between WAR and WoW, or they have been about how WAR is copying WoW, or they say the graphics in WAR look like crap. These topics have been beaten in a mass that only vaguely resembles a topic of any sort.

    Oh please stop with the who stole what crap.  Guess where Games Workshop got it from, from Tolkien of course.  Big deal.  Makes them of the same culpibility as Blizzard.  No one really cares.

    What you should be worrying about is Mythic, they just can't seem to balance class pvp, no matter how hard they try.  Just look at the most recent patch in DAoC.  Huge archery class changes.  They just don't get it.

    I didn't mean to start a war of words.

    And I didn't say copying was bad.

    I justed stated the fact that Warhammer came first.

    Ciredric, I'm not worried about it, if Mythic produces a good game, then I'll play it otherwise I won't. And I prefer PvE over PvP.

    thats nice but visuals arnt as important as gameplay.  id rather have super nintendo graphics and great gameplay than ps3 and sucky gameplay.

    To be a bit pedantic, GW's artwork had *nothing* to do with Tolkien.  At all.  It was, at one point ,the only really unique thing they had.

    WAR predates WC/WoW by 10 years not 20 years But yeah theres enough of these posts, WoW looks good and WAR looks good, they dont look the same the story is not the same, the characters are not the same, the world is not the same.  the only similary to can draw between to the 2 games are dwarfs, elves and orks.  And all 3 pre-date BOTH games.



    Now let the WoW and WAR guys unite and bash VG:Soh together.

    That's messed up. It's allways annoyed me that there wasn't a search function on this site. They couldn't just place it up top on the menu like every other forum I've ever seen? No,, mmorpg.com has to be special :p
