I have to agree with Gameloading on this one. Opinion =/= fact. At the same time you have to realise that if somebody hates it, it does not mean it is bad. If somebody loves it, it does not make it good. The truth is that the game is actually a quality game as much as it pains me to admit. Many people are looking to leave wow because it has grown boring. It kept you entertained for 2+ years and now we have nothing to play until other games come out. The last SAVIOR of a game was supposed to be Vanguard and it failed. The next hope is LOTRO(which I will not be playing) and then after that there will be more and more. It may not have been a great game for you, but it was polished and it is a quality game and this is why so many people play it.

Well, its obvious you don't really know anything about people with ADD....
But its true, I play all MMORPG's until I reach their end game (usually with about 3-4 characters) and then after I've achieved all the goals that I am able or willing to, I move on to another new game. Sometimes this takes me 6 months, other times almost 2 years..but all games come to an end for me... and I try something different.
No need to insult posters over their opinion that WOW has grown boring for some folks...its a fact....of every game, not just WOW...

I like WoW, but this was my first MMORPG and if anything, it lead me to try other MMORPGs.
I hope that in 10yrs time MMORPGs has morphed into something very different.
Hell I hope to see something innovative in 2 years.
Alot of things can happen in 6 months. Sweeping grand predictions like this is stupid.
Trust me, MMO's are already starting to take better directions. The new concepts in a lot of the new MMO's coming, resparks some of the MMO scene. I'm impressed with the development of WAR. But that is one of many that I have had my eyes on. Honestly, I don't care who plays WoW. I no longer play it so I could care less. I have my opinion of the game and it's just to bland for me. I've re-started Everquest II again and I'm actually having a blast. The sad thing is that so many of you always say a certain thing won't happen. When the time comes and it does, maybe that one-sided part of you will become two parts. WoW had a lucky break. It can and could happen to another company. I know as far as I go, I want and hope it does. Either way, I know for a fact that i will be playing WAR and some others. But that's just me. We all have a mind of our own. Well, in some cases we do. Not everything that is popular is bad, I never said that. I said monopolies are bad. Take cars for example, using a car is much more safe and comfortable and efficient in terms of luggage and passengers. Much mroe so than motorbikes, and most people use cars, which in no way makes them bad.
If you re-read what I said, I see Mac and Linux as much more productive and stable. Gaming doesn't fall into the category of productivity in any way, and the amount of corrupted registries, windows bugs, etc are much higher than on Macs. The only reason that Windows has more software for it is because developers see it as more profitable to develop for a majority market share than a minority. And the only reason that people use Windows is because Windows is preset on all PCs since the 1980's. People have grown up with it and by the time they gained enough computer knowledge to realise there's an alternative, they are no longer able to easily adjust themselves. Anyone who uses a Mac has a long history of using WIndows and switched because they were unsatisfied. Ask anyone who uses a PC and there's a 99% chance that they will say Mac sucks, but asked whether they've used it or not, they'll say no. Their decisions have already been made for them subconsiously.
So please, don't get into a debate over linux, mac and windows with me, because I assure you I know more about it than you do. I'm only typign this on a PC atm because i'm still saving up for my Macbook. Been using PC for 8 years now and bloody fed up of it tbh, and Linux doesn't have enough GUI.

Now as to WoW, of course it's my opinion that the game is bad, but please, outline to me in bullet points where this game is better than any other game (not just MMOs) out there. I can make a huge list why it's not, but can you make one why it is?
If you can prove to me, (not by linking me to high scores, which imo are not as meaningful as you mean) with your own words why WoW is better then i'm ready to accept it, maybe even have another go at the game. I'm more open minded than you think, but so far NO ONE has given me a good argument as to what parts of WoW specifically are better. Oh and please take into account that Blizzard earns about 10-12 million euros off WoW per month. Does it re-invest even 5% of that per month? At the rate at which expansions have come out i'd say no. Companies like CCP release more expansions and added more content in a year than WoW has in it's whole lifetime.

I clearly pointed out why I said that PC users prefer windows over MAC's and Linux. Windows is simply much more user friendly and supported by companies, and it if it does what it needs to do, then why in heavens name switch over to linux? People use windows because it does what it needs to do in an user friendly enviroment. I am not stating MAC's suck, I am saying that there is little use for MACS for the average PC user. if I want to type a letter on my computer, look up information on the internet and play a game every now and then, I am MUCH better off on a pc with windows then I am on a MAC.
MAC's will undoubtly be better at certain features, but not everybody needs those features.

Sure thing, I'll give my oppinion on the subject.
Lets start from the beginning.
First is the accesibility. As any mmorpg player knows, MMORPG genre is not a genre that is easy to get in to. WoW is really accesible, anybody can play it. thats not because the game is more easy then other MMORPG's, its because the game explains itself. just by looking at the UI, you already know how everything works. the game doesn't even need a tutorial.
Next is the questing nature of the game. the game takes you all over the world and always leaves you with something to do. I think that is the strongest point of WoW, the huge amount of content. The world is quite well done. next is the PVP. many disagree with this, but I find the PVP in WoW quite good. You can always jump in a pvp fight at any time, without annoying consequences. in Lineage 2, I can't just start pking people, even though it is a pvp game.
I can go on, but I think thats rather pointless. you played the game, you know what its like.

true that, Blizzard is known for being quite slow in content. but,the content that has been released has been done well, was polished and well worth it.

As to MacD, of course people eat there because it's cheap. But (opinion here) burger king is imo much better. The price is more or less the same in Europe but the quality of the food is much better. It's not more healthy, that's for sure, but it tastes MUCH better. A lot of MacD food tastes like cardboard quite often, or at least in parts of Europe, dunno about USA.
Now as to WoW, of course it's my opinion that the game is bad, but please, outline to me in bullet points where this game is better than any other game (not just MMOs) out there. I can make a huge list why it's not, but can you make one why it is?
If you can prove to me, (not by linking me to high scores, which imo are not as meaningful as you mean) with your own words why WoW is better then i'm ready to accept it, maybe even have another go at the game. I'm more open minded than you think, but so far NO ONE has given me a good argument as to what parts of WoW specifically are better. Oh and please take into account that Blizzard earns about 10-12 million euros off WoW per month. Does it re-invest even 5% of that per month? At the rate at which expansions have come out i'd say no. Companies like CCP release more expansions and added more content in a year than WoW has in it's whole lifetime.

The reason is simple. As a company begins to have a monopoly, they start exploiting the people who use their products by lowering quality to try and gain more profit. Take microsoft who charge stupid sums of money.ah, now I get it, you are one of those kind of people. anything that is popular = bad.Do you know why many people use Windows? Because Windows is a lot more user friendly and a lot more compatible with a lot of things (ever purchased a MAC as a gamer? Not recommended) then Linux or MAC's are.

World of Warcraft would not have received such high ratings from reviewers if it is a bad game. almost every reviewer,proffesionals and anybody else who knows what the heck he is talking about praises WoW for its high quality.

Not everything that is popular is bad, I never said that. I said monopolies are bad. Take cars for example, using a car is much more safe and comfortable and efficient in terms of luggage and passengers. Much mroe so than motorbikes, and most people use cars, which in no way makes them bad.
If you re-read what I said, I see Mac and Linux as much more productive and stable. Gaming doesn't fall into the category of productivity in any way, and the amount of corrupted registries, windows bugs, etc are much higher than on Macs. The only reason that Windows has more software for it is because developers see it as more profitable to develop for a majority market share than a minority. And the only reason that people use Windows is because Windows is preset on all PCs since the 1980's. People have grown up with it and by the time they gained enough computer knowledge to realise there's an alternative, they are no longer able to easily adjust themselves. Anyone who uses a Mac has a long history of using WIndows and switched because they were unsatisfied. Ask anyone who uses a PC and there's a 99% chance that they will say Mac sucks, but asked whether they've used it or not, they'll say no. Their decisions have already been made for them subconsiously.
So please, don't get into a debate over linux, mac and windows with me, because I assure you I know more about it than you do. I'm only typign this on a PC atm because i'm still saving up for my Macbook. Been using PC for 8 years now and bloody fed up of it tbh, and Linux doesn't have enough GUI.

I clearly pointed out why I said that PC users prefer windows over MAC's and Linux. Windows is simply much more user friendly and supported by companies, and it if it does what it needs to do, then why in heavens name switch over to linux? People use windows because it does what it needs to do in an user friendly enviroment. I am not stating MAC's suck, I am saying that there is little use for MACS for the average PC user. if I want to type a letter on my computer, look up information on the internet and play a game every now and then, I am MUCH better off on a pc with windows then I am on a MAC.
MAC's will undoubtly be better at certain features, but not everybody needs those features.

Sure thing, I'll give my oppinion on the subject.
Lets start from the beginning.
First is the accesibility. As any mmorpg player knows, MMORPG genre is not a genre that is easy to get in to. WoW is really accesible, anybody can play it. thats not because the game is more easy then other MMORPG's, its because the game explains itself. just by looking at the UI, you already know how everything works. the game doesn't even need a tutorial.
Next is the questing nature of the game. the game takes you all over the world and always leaves you with something to do. I think that is the strongest point of WoW, the huge amount of content. The world is quite well done. next is the PVP. many disagree with this, but I find the PVP in WoW quite good. You can always jump in a pvp fight at any time, without annoying consequences. in Lineage 2, I can't just start pking people, even though it is a pvp game.
I can go on, but I think thats rather pointless. you played the game, you know what its like.

true that, Blizzard is known for being quite slow in content. but,the content that has been released has been done well, was polished and well worth it.
