Thinking of a comeback

I left DAOC like a year ago just to try someother MMOs.Played AA,COH,COV,DAD and finally WOW.I never found the community like i did in DAOC nor the great PvP.So i have a few questions if someone could answer please.  1) What is the population on the classic servers like.HIgh ,low ,will i get a group for champion gear.2) Is there still a little character embalance on some classes. Like i was a mentalist and a warlock would pretty much one shot me. 3) Did the new exspanion do any thing to graphics or RvR.Im  either coming back to DAOC the best MMo ii have ever played or going to try VSOH.I know its got really bad press.But i need something to play till WARHAMMER comes out. Thanks for your input.

i havent the slightest ideas to the answers you looking for, i can however, suggest that you dont try vsoh, unless you plan on dedicating yourself to a game that has a LONg ways to go before its finished... if your looking for a good community and pvp you might try one of the pvp servers on eq2,  ive also heard EVE has a pretty good community, also it might be worth it to just wait and check out WAR and/or AoC when they release ( i know they have a ways to go still)

i too was considering DAoC, played it for a very short period of time, but i always liked the RvR, my only concern is population and how hard it would be to find a group starting from scratch..

Much has happend in the year you were gone, I suggest you try it out, the population isn't that bad, atleast on my server where it's very healthy.

There are still some imbalances, however Warlocks got hit my the big nerftbat, so don't worry about them anymore...

Find a good guild and you won't have problem doing your champquests ither.

The graphics is are much the same, they are curently working on redoing de keepdesings and towers to easy up the seige part of the game.

1. Classic Server populations are pretty high. Usually during primetime they get betweem 2200-2500 people or more.



2. There have been many changes to class balance for many classes in the year you were gone. Example - BD change, Archery Revamp, etc.



3. The Labyrinth of the Minotaur Expansion gave an extra dungeon for people to RvR in. It also added 5 extra CL levels and plenty of new items.



If you are looking to come back don't worry about population, it is fine and there are plenty of people to play with. They just recently merged the clustered mainland and SI areas into one area for each cluster. Mythic also made it so you can buy special items with bounty points you gain from RvR. So it is even easier to get in good gear. Overall the game is still fun and at least to me seems to be heading in the right direction.
