in Lord of the Rings Online

Do you know if the following is in game?   If no, do they plan to put it in soon?

  1. Mounts, what level and how much?
  2. Flying mounts?
  3. Housing?

 

One more question, how do you invite someone to your "family?" (Not kinship or fellowship)

    You can search for the thread made here some time ago about the size of the world in the game.

    Doesnt look like it will need anything mount wise.  And there is no place to place the housing too.

    ... There are always expansions and what not.

    There are horses, but they cost 4 gold, (you wont have that much till you're over lvl 20). There aren't any flying mounts, but I would expect something eventually. How can you do Lord of the Rings with out flying Nazgul? And what about Roks? No player housing that I'm aware of and I wont even speculate about whether or not they will do this.

    I don't really understand LOTRO either... like is it pretty much just pve... i know about the monster setting and everything.. but other than that is it basically just exploring with groups? cause it looked pretty cool and i would love to get into beta with this... but i don't think i wanna buy it... just because there isn't too much info out... or maybe i'm looking in the wrong areas... hmmm..

    Well, just about anyone that wants to try the game will be able to, open beta (or the World Tour, what ever they want to call it) will be available this Friday. Go to the game's homepage and sign up.

    1). You can buy mounts at level 35 for around 3-4 gold...

    2). No flying mounts, and you will likely never see any player controlled flying mounts since this doesn't happen in the books except for the two instances where eagles helped Gandalf.

    3). The devs have stated they want to implement housing, but it will likely be some time after release.
