Is this game worth bying?

in Auto Assault

First off, I would like to apologize if this question has been asked a thousand times before, I’m new here.

 

The title pretty much sums it up, is buying this game worth it? I’ve heard lots of good things about it, but I have heard some bad things too. Mostly, I want a sort of “player’s eye view” on the game and its apparent quality.

 

I have done a little research and would want to be a Biomek Terminator. I’m always a fan of technologically oriented races, and turning your car into a mech is just too good to resist. Has anyone had a particularly good/bad experience using this class?

    First off, I'm reluctant to offer my opinion of the game, because you ARE in the Auto Assault forum...so, generally, you're gonna get positive feedback about the game.  Instead, I think I'll just suggest a couple things and let you decide for yourself (which is the BEST and ONLY way to know if any game is worth buying).



    1.  14-day trial.  No credit-card required.  Great way to see what Auto Assault is about...but, as in the case of most games, you'll only see so much of the game in the trial.  Unlike the grind in many games I've played, IMHO, this one gets better (more fun) as you go, but only if you READ the quests..which are extremely well done.



    2.  Buy the game.  You can pick it up on Amazon for less than $10 and some vendors even throw in the Prima guidebook...which I've really used and enjoyed even though it's a bit outdated.



    Obviously, I'm a AA fanboi...but I think the advice in my opening paragraph is applicable to any game.

    If you decide to give it a try feel free to ask for help in faction chat. All the factions have people who are very helpful. One other suggestion would be that if you try this game try a couple of the classes and factions as they all have a different feel.

    I think I'll try the trial and see what happens.



     I always read quest info and things like that (sometimes i feel like I'm the only person who does). I also must say that I have never played a game I have absolutely not liked. most games just grab my attention for the first few days and then bore me after a few days/weeks (or, in a few rare cases, months). AA is so different, I think it will keep me happy for a good long time.

    I was very sceptical about  Buying Auto Assault at the beginning.  After several months I have to say that i still enjoy it very much and it is quite different to all the other games around. 

    I would suggest to buy it but since I like it very much I may be biast.....so I would recommend to use the Trial.

    Auto Assault is definitely not for everyone.  I love the game though and find that even after playing it for a year, the combat is still fun.  Most other have me falling asleep at the keyboard with the monotonous gameplay.



    Check out the trial and hopefully you'll enjoy it

    I've been playing AA since preorder headstart, and recently I got quite bored and frustrated with it. So I went on a rampage trying out free trials, popping by Co* again, and it took me a staggering 3 days to realise to at least for me AA has no competition at the moment.

    Do note though, that AA is very different from all other MMOs , I would definately advice trying out the free trial first

    Not to upset you but how do you go on a trial rampage in three days? Many have 10 to 14 days trials and if most people played AA for only 30 mins, quit, and assumed it sucked, well I can easily see why you "realized" AA has no competition for you. My point is, if you became frustrated then take the time and actually give another game a decent chance. Don't trick yourself into thinking there is nothing out there.

    You're assuming he hadn't already played those games before.



    From what I understand is that after going back to games some have played before (some for years) a lot realise that Auo Assault is TRULY a unique game.

    Im also thinking of buying it.. the trial doesnt work yet ^^ it seems big fun :D and just 200kr..=20 dollars sort of :P.. so lets just see :)



    I just bought it! and gonna write in the key and shit then im able to play ;) btw it only cost like 10 dollar or something like that ;D
