Ok i remember back before NGE and CU when i first got SWG i thought this is pretty kewl and i played and join a guild Dark side adepts on the eclipse server and i had fun i mean this game had EVERYTHING having your own house(mine was in Valley of Darkness) and having pets being like ANY CLASS THINKABLE man this game was TIIIIGGGHHHT but i didnt think much at that time i just thought that it was a fun game. Then my subscription ran out and i thought id take a lil break from the game so id be pumped up when i came back so then i played WoW for awhile then i heard about all this NGE and CU stuff came out and i heard how bad the game was so i wanted to try this new stuff. When i logged on i realized i had to choose from like 8 classes and the first thing i said was WTF? Then i found myself meeting chewie and Han solo and i said i dont wanna see ur hairy @ss why am i hear and then i continued playing the game i barley saw players and when i went to great them they looked at me and ran like they've never seen a player before. And when i kept playing i realized how bad this game SUCKED im like WTF happened. Then i continued reading on and stuff on forums how the game got destroyed and i realized that this WAS the greatest game ive ever played and now its gone because of some dumb@sses at SOE ruined the game only to get some $$$ cuz like most game companies they dont give a crap about their players. I was sad and hoping that the game would return to how it was before all this crap. And reading how it was impossible or atleast to SOE i was even more dissapointed and i new that this was lossed once and for all and that i could only hope that a new mmo would come out like SWG or a SWG 2 would come out EXACALY like the first one before the NGE and CU except with more content like classes and weapons/armors etc. but i new it would NEVER be as good and i new if another company tried to make a diff starwars mmo it wouldnt be as good either so i guess this is the end and i can only hope SWG can Rest in peace once and for all and i guess it is true what people say you dont know what you have until its gone(or something like that) now i guess ill have to wait for warhammer online or Age of conan. Well thanks for reading this i just hope SOE can learn from their mistakes.

Im not here to say things are as good, or as they should be, they are not, im in game atm for a few weeks evaluating the game in all honesty they are trying to make the game like it was pre cu or cu in many respects.
beast master: yes creature handler and we remember how over powerd it was or was that before your time, when we started the good old row about balance in the first place! lets see if soe learns any lessons from the first flame war i personly remember.
return of crafted armour in a good way: crafted armour has a slot you can place an armour attachtment, the bane comes that crafters rip the piss out of the max stat armour attachments. ie a treble stated attatchment like 35 constitution (health) 35 stamina (action bar) 35 precision ( characters acuracy) but it could be any variation of things not the stats quoted or particular areas of designation.
greed has returned at the crafters first chance, and they will fleece your ass for a set of top of the range aa, or ca yes you can say also the same for clothing as well they get a slot too.
its changing slowly but one thing remains absolute shite is the interface, it is'nt that the game is that evil...... its the interface it makes the game seem pure f..kin. unplayable, in between two targeting rectacles and a few pvp players, effects that give elipsey to norm people, and effects that make it so you cannot see your player at all in combat... as well as the need to be buffed by an entertainer like pre cu... little bit like but reverse ...and needing a medic like seeing a doctor pre cu etc...for the medic buffs and if your not a general in the gcw you will still die fast as they get extra buffs for that. The game is as complex as it was before in a way just a lot less choice of professions.
is it heading the right direction? my answer look it has been heading the wrong way since nov 2005 and some might say before that but then they would'nt remember pikemen spinning mind fire pikes in entire groups of people or cm lobbing area mind poison from 64mtrs away. lol no they just spent there time whining about a few jedi like me.
anyway i think they are trying to change things we just have to see with out the rose tinted glasses sometimes, but nah its not as good as it was!

On the topic of particle effects, we agree. Seizure inducing is a great way to describe them. I saw a Jedi buffing up, and he loaded a certain buff, and what could best be described as donuts started showering out of his head, and cascaded down around him. Donuts. . . scores of them, maybe hundreds of donuts , all showering out of his head as if springing forth from a fountain. I have no idea what buff that was, but I ponder what kind of psycadelic acid trip moment produced that software wonder?

In regards to afropufs observation of doughnuts cascading from a jedi head... seriously you have to wonder if the coffee machine in the soe office is spiked with acid or some form of magic mushrooms in the chicken and mushroom soup,

I have to agree on the particle effects and other graphics with you two, it is a perfect way you are describing them. They seem to rely much too much on screen vibrations and as you guys said "seizure-inducing" effects to some of the specials.
I remember having to take frequent breaks from some of the activities because of some of the effects, more so than other games I've tried. I know it's Star Warsy and Iconic for the flashy dash glowy effects but if I thought they were a bit over the top.
