Teadious quest for mmorpg.

I started out playing Meridian and have followed the genre of mmorpg's until todays date and i still have to find something fun. Only game im playing atm is ww2ol but its only for our weekly squadnites which gives me alot of high quality gametime but its nothing to play without the squad. The game i last played was wow since i had alot of friends playing it.... i never really enjoyed it except for the "non bg" PvP that was intense and really really fun before the implementation of Battlegrounds, that made me quit the game and give my account to my daughter. With high hopes i tried Rings online yesterday but it failed instantly since it seems to be a clone of wow, all about killing mobs that stand "in a row" with the usual time consuming grinding to gain levels.....i hate that. I want adventure (Ok, EQ1 was pure ownage the first year.) and intense exciting PvP, where could i find that game, in DDOnline maybe?

Oh, i love playing EvE from time to time since the world is so...alive and huge, pity its about spaceships, maybe there is a game like that but with a fantasy setting and less grinding for "levels" and stuff?

On the first question, I don't think you'll find that in DDO. DDO is all about instance-based dungeon crawls.  There is no world to explore, you are in one city and its immediate area, and you only earn EXP by doing instanced dungeon crawls.  PvP is now in the game in limited arenas, it's something that was added later and is not a highlight of the game.



You won't really find another game like EVE in the fantasy setting.
