Im stuck with a laptap for 3 weeks that im not sure will run cov and ,now have no way to test it w/o gambling $15 375ram and a dx9 intel video that i could drop to 800x600 16bit  color.Whats so sad is we just got a 7Mbps cable connection.Actually I don't even know if I can dl it at the moment, unless nc soft has that feature.

I can tell you now that those specs are not going to run CoH. My old rig had 768 ram and a nvidia 5200 graphics card. The lag became so bad, I finally decided to quit. I can't wait to play the game on this new rig though!

I wouldn't think about playing the game with anything less than 1gig ram and even that's pushing it. That doesn't even matter unless you upgrade your graphics card because the game will crash before you get to customize a character.

If you don't care for graphics you don't need that good of a rig to play CoH. My friend runs it on his laptop fine with no lag, but it's on the lowest graphic settings. I think he has 1 gig ram, and an onboard ati x200 video card.

That 1gig ram and ati card is a heck of a lot better than the 375 ram and basic intel graphics card Healforfood is running on. When it comes to lag, ram is the #1 culprit. I'm betting the game will crash before he even gets to play the game unless he upgades his intel video card.

Guess ill hold off till i get access to my rig to reactivate.I threw all the bad out there but theres still enough positive hope to re-up.

I cant believe gateway made an xp laptop with 375mg ram.what a joke.At least 512 and some video at least.

FYI NCSoft supports d/l the game sure. All you need is the CoHUpdater.exe it'll pulldown the entire game. and you can get the updater on theri site somehwere. My DVDs for CoV has never worked so I always used this. the directions are on the Test Server forum I believe (Well link to the updater)
