GoalsOur guild is a group of individuals that prefer how guilds used to be run before the invention of WoW-styled uber guilds. We want to be able to have the resources and strength of those guilds, without having the overly restrictive rules and requirements. We want to maintain a large guild of 100-200 members, while still keeping our old-school philosophies. We envision a guild that is mostly self reliant, that helps eachother succeed, and enjoys the game
together. Guild events (such as drunken brawling tournaments, grouping sessions, etc.) and raids will be held often, but will not have required attendance. We have dreams of a glorious Guild City and many Battlekeeps. We will be very active in Battlekeep PvP. We plan to achieve all this without restrictive requirements by recruiting people that WANT to do these things, not because that is what the guild does.
HistoryAge of Conan is technically the first MMO that this guild will be playing. However, many of us have played together in previous MMOs. MMOs that I have played with others that are in the guild at the time of creation are Anarchy Online (Order of Kauket), Star Wars Galaxies (New Dawn Resistance), Dungeons and Dragons Online (Dark Ryder Society), City of Heroes/Villains (various guilds), and World of Warcraft (various guilds)

Guidelines and PhilosophiesThese are guidelines that are used as a basis for guild operations. They are not all inclusive or absolute. They are provided as a point of reference and to inform members of our guild philosophies. All are subject to change as the guild changes and grows. Full descriptions and explanations are on the website.
- You must be mature and be able to take a joke
- You must be able to handle “foul” language
- Treat fellow guildmates with respect
- We believe in guild loyalty (do not join other guilds on our server)
- No restrictions on age, race, class, level, or alts
- Guild rank is based upon contributions, not level
- Casual, hardcore, always on, sometimes on, live in the US, live somewhere else: All players are welcome
- Leadership: Decisions rest with the leader and advisors/officers, with input from the members
LeadershipI am the leader of the guild, however I am not a dictator. Decision making in shared with the advisors in the guild. We will allow for member input in decisions that do not require immediate action and as often as possible. We do not want to be a guild that is slow to adapt however.
Leader: Podo
Advisors: GreyFX, ScreamingDevilkin, and PrimeBeef (Hamlock)
RanksThis information is subject to change depending on the in-game systems and as we grow. This is how things are currently set up.
- Leader - Shares power with advisors. Resolves any problems that Advisors disagree on. Only 1 leader.
- Advisors - Shares decision making and other important tasks with the leader. Advisor rank is very limited in membership.
- Officer - This rank is above a regular member, but not quite an advisor. Officers have proven themselves as one of the most dedicated members. They will have more say in decisions than a regular member and some limited authority.
- Member - Regular member. Can influence decisions that are open to members.
- Alt - Alt character of a guild member. Recruits can have alts as well. Only the person's main character (as determined by the player) will have any rank other than Alt.
- Recruit - Recently recruited member. Person is being evaluated for regular membership. If the person fits in with our guild they will be promoted to member. The time it takes will vary depending on how active the member is. As a loose guideline active players will be promoted in a week, casual players in 2-3 weeks, and those that don't play often will take 3-4 weeks. Recruits will be kicked only if they do not fit or they have not been active enough to become a member within their first month. Members that join before they are in game have a longer time to move up from recruit since it's harder to get to know somebody only from the forums. Recruits have no say in the decision making process.
