update the grafix

after playing BF2 and Desert Conflict mod, and also BF 2142, Planetside needs a Graphic update asap, lol

    I agree.  New textures and bump mapping and such please!

    The caves are pretty damn cool looking if you can ever get a fight going in there.  I realliy like how the bases take on the color's of their owners in a subtle/shiney kind of way.  I would like to see them upgrade the surface world to match the beauty of the indoors.

    The only way updating the graphics would make me play more was if it added dynamic lighting, and therefore night fighting, to the game.

    After 3-4 years of PS, the gameplay is stale, and unbalanced weaponry and broken gameplay systems annoy me to the extent of not playing.

    The game really needs a lot more to ever be a contender again.



    I loved planetside for the longest time.  As it stands now, it really doesn't offer a gamer anything new.

    It's a shame, they used to have night fights on Ishundar from time to time.  But people got whiney about it. 











    As far as the graphics go... If you jack them all up, the game still looks nice.  It's doesn't look realistic because it's cartoonyt in nature.  It isn't supposed to look real like a battlefailed game.  At least SOE made a fun game on launch.  All DICE did with the BF games recently is release some menus and 3d models you could move and shoot with.  Oh, and the rest?  Bugs, glitches, and CTD issues.  All for ONLY $50.

    I must be lucky because I've never had any graphics glitches or CTD issues.  And my computer is outdated by about 24 months or so.

    I dont see PS competeing against Tabula Rasa or Huxley. i realise they are not exactly the same concept as PS but as persistent online FPS go PS is too old and really kind of repetitive. It sucks to work all evening to lock down a continent only to have it taken back while you sleep. There are no real rewards for play besides Battle rank.



    I think its time for a fresh aproach and let this one turn into freeware like AO or else die alltogether.

    You dont get 150 x 3 per side in BF2 or 2142.
