    Dang dude!

You like ... should be in TQ guinness world record book.

Yeah, it was a bit too much like D2 for my liking.   Character development coulda been better.  Skill tree was too small imo.

Well so far I have only played TQ for about 30 minutes. I just cannot get past the non rotating camera. Why on earth did they make a game that you cannot reposition the camera? This plain sucks especially when you are running and the camera is pointed at your face.  Awkward to say the least.

I would take the game back but unfortunately I cannot ,so it was a waste of my money.

Call me spoiled but I think the main reason why d2 and other games like that might stay fun for a while is because of the hacked items and crazy power leveling, I know thats why I enjoyed d2 was pl and farming magic items etc, of course I can play a console rpg all the way through the content with np but not hack and slashes it isnt alot of fun because it can feel like a grind, although online it can be since your playing with other people. I tried playing titan quest many times just cannot get into it.

Titan Quest is one little addictive bastard. Can stop playing !

If you play it for more than 3 hours ( like our attention disorder , posters )

You really start getting into it, trying all the builds.
And apart from that it has awsome graphic

There just isn't enough skills and diversity in TQ to keep me interested.
  • SramotaSramota Member Posts: 756

Liking D2 does in NO way equate to anyone liking TQ... Mainly because it sucks...
But then again also because of the fact that there's a whole different setting, the quests are... Well.. Worse.
Customization ? Yes indeed! Male? Female? And what color do you want on the tunic?
Loads of looks for you to choose.. (Male/Female and tunic color are all you get)

    So. NOPE!
Mr ViralM, TQ isn't good, nor do you like it if you like D2.
This crap is looking like advertisement more than a post.
Could it be the bad sales of the expansion that is dragging you out here?

Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DF, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW...
    It all sucked.

Personally I rather play zelda or some otther rpg on the console for skills and awesome story, to be honest those hack and slash games have eiether short decent storys or just cool videos with no real great story line that gets boring after the first few acts.

Dunno, I always really enjoy a hack and slash on the occassion.. Especially the Diablo series... I just wish Blizzard would stop screwing around with ONLY WoW and bring on Diablo 3 and the next starcraft.

How's the online play?  Do you get to look for rooms like Bnet or is it strictly LAN only?  I'm looking to pick it up along with the expansion because Circuit City is running a sale (both for $30).

I'd give an arm and a leg for a new Starcraft.. Don't really care what type of game (MMO would be sweeeet)
I just love the universe and the feel.
And above everything else it isn't bloody high fantasy!!
And with the Draenei one might wonder if Starcraft will be implemented into the WoW universe... They've kinda opened the gates for that...

God this became very off topic..
Either way, this is a MMO site, TQ is in NO way MMO nor even decent multiplay!

Played so far: 9Dragons, AO, AC, AC2, CoX, DAoC, DF, DnL, DR, DDO, Ent, EvE, EQ, EQ2, FoMK, FFO, Fury, GW, HG:L, HZ, L1, L2, M59, MU, NC1, NC2, PS, PT, R:O, RF:O, RYL, Ryzom, SL, SB, SW:G, TR, TCoS, MX:O, UO, VG, WAR, WoW...

This game was good, it also9 now has an expansion for it, you can play with up to 6 other people online and the loot drops are different everytime (or have a chance to be different) you replay a boss or named.

I got TQ a few weeks ago from D2D when the expansion was their featured product...somehow I had never heard of this game before but it looked decent and was only $20 so whats to loose.

The first time I tried it (as someone else mentioned) the camera really annoyed me.  I had just finished going through NWN2 so it was a big adjustment to get use to.  I managed to and played a few evenings in a row.  I got very into the game and was very much enjoying it.

I ended up trying a new MMO (new to me at least) for a free trial and totally forgot I even had TQ.  Now I am not sure I could get back into it.  I feel it has huge addiction factor (assuming you dont mind a mouse clicking festival of repetitiveness) but if you loose that and take a break from it, it doesnt seem to have a whole lot to draw you back.

TQ is a decent game. But D2 is just more stylish and funnier.

    OP:

TQ won't be added to the list because it fails to meet all the criteria.

    From the site's FAQ:

I think there is a game that needs to be added to your list. How do I submit this?

First, please make sure that the game is not already on our list.  If you know the name of the game, make sure you sort our list by "Title" (click on the Title column name) and look for it alphabetically.

Second, make sure that it completes our definition of a MMORPG:

    • 500 or more simultaneous players in one world.
      • The game must include some form of graphical common area. This distinction means Diablo II is not considered an MMORPG, while Guild Wars is.
    • It must be graphical...so no text based MUDs.
    • Persistent characters.
    • Some form of character advancement.
    • It must use a true client/server connection.  In other words, no HTML or "web" based games.  Games that run in a browser using Java are OK.
    • Five or more screenshots from inside of the game engine itself.
    • A professional web site free of annoying pop-up ads or Spyware programs and access to some kind of support system.
    • Must fully support English.  This means the client interface, in-game chat, help system and support website must all be in English.

NOTE: At this time we are no longer adding 2D/Isometric games to our list - we will add these again at a later date once we adapt our list to allow feature filtering.

If the game fails to meet any of these criteria, we do not include it on MMORPG.com. Occasionally, we will cover high profile games that have not yet met the screenshot criteria, but they will still not be included in the “Game List”.

Ultimately, MMORPG.com reserves the right of final judgment on whether or not a game should or should not be added to our game list.

If you know a game that meets all of the criteria listed above, please email it to editor@mmorpg.com.

Check the text I marked with red.

I really enjoyed D2 but didn't much like TQ.  I didn't last as long as most here.  I bought the game, played for a couple hours before bed and never felt inclined to pick it up again.  Oh well... I know quite a few people who enjoyed much more than I did.  Nearly no one, however, raved about it after a few days.  I've been mostly disappointed with nearly all the rpgs that have come out in the last few years.  They just don't seem to be as engaging and long lasting as things like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment... even, Diablo and D2.
