Good and Bad points...

I have been playing Runescape for a long time now (2 years i think) I play it on and off so I'm only level 91
(look me up, I'm "Mr Smiley35")But just to clear things up for a lot of people I'm gonna list the good and bad points or playing Runescape.
Some good points are:
-Alot of quests
-Great PvP system
-something for everyone
-lots of skills to train
-good community if you're a high level
-It's not just a grind fest
-lots of combinations of armor
-great selection of monsters
-im sure theres more but i can't think of anymore at the moment
Bad points:
-LOTS of hackers and scammers
-not very easy to become good when low level
-bad community for low levels
-back stabbers in the wilderness (Pking)
-very exspensive to train skills like magic
-hackers and scammers take a long time to get banned
Those are the good and bad points i can think of at the moment... but usually the members community has less scammers and hackers then the free world community... my advice is to become a member as soon as possible

Wait till you reach level 124, so hard to get any levels, and yes every noob always asks for free stuff.
3 yrs I played this game and see it as a waste now!
I quit playing now for about 1 yr, was ranked at 800 when i stopped.
I have full D-Chain, Veracs, Guthans, a few Abby whips, just got sick of the bull.
People say your lucky you have all that, want you to give them stuff, Lucky, my ass, I worked hard to get there! We all start out with the same nooby stuff, and there is no reason why no one else can get to have the same as others, provided your willing to work!
Player vs Player, personally I don't care for that, I don't PK, I'd much rather help out someone than to go around to show how tough or better I am then someone else. Because you can go out and kill someone in the wild, does that make you a better person!
It seems people treat other people like the monster characters in the game, what drops can i get.
And is it one on one there, heck no, they gang up on a person and laugh at them as they kill.
I was "ONE" time in a PK group doing teleblock, this one person was screwed at mage bank after I did TB'd, did they just kill the person, no, they took turns hitting and laughing at the person.
New clue scrolls they got, you have to have an inventory of stupid stuff in your bank to complete most of these new clues. I usually have little or no bank space and then to have to get this stuff is bull!
Also with 99 att, 99 str and hit 0's is so lame!
Runescape is different than all other mmorpg
everything can be make by everyone
ya they only have a litle more than 200 quest but they are true quest. Most of mmorpg have only quest like: kill 10 goblin or go talk to him orget 10 goblin head
jagex make more update than most of mmorpg you have more than 1 per week they are improving graphic of all the game presently
the comunity is nice exept for the macro
the report system is not bad because most of game dont have any
runescape is fun because you dont have only to kill monster you can do quest thieving crafting runecrafting hunter slayer ... and the way to upgrade combat lv by training strg def... are nice to.
you love or you dont love runescape. most of people dont love it just because of the graphic and its a litle hard to start but after when you know better the game its become a great experience. the free and member system are not bad to you can play for ever free but member is a lot funier. and the player kill is the best. nothing more fun than that to do (=
and they have lot of way to make money depending of what you love and your skill so can take your favorite. The objective of the game is not to be rich but have lot of fun

you have good points but i play this game for 1 point who make runescape different than all other game.
you dont have to kill monster all your life and have nothing more to do.
i have exemples of game like that i play and get bored very fast: dongeon runner, scion of fate, pristontale, conquer 1 and 2, eudemon online, silkroad online and a lot more.
um dude not every game is about killing, your only mentioning korean games there pretty much if u haven't noticed...all the korean games have is to kill. try a game thats not korean and you will be suprised at how different it is than a korean game...such as WoW, space cowboy online, Lotro, ect.
and yea there aint much of a challenge in the fighting system in runescape...nor is there much a challenge in the game..only challenge there is is to stay all year 24/7 in your computer to get lvl 99 in every skill...where all you do is click..
O and i forgot to mention you already have mentioned that point of yours -.-...
why are you saying all these shit about clic game. if its that bad why so many people play to them?

if you think you have no choice to play like that to be good in runescape you have a problem
im new to being a member here but ill try my best at this.....
ive been playing runescape for awhile now (about 1 year) and the thing i hate the most are the people in it (the players).
they cheat and lie alot. when you first start playing money is VERY important because its hard to get and youve got almost nothing to trade with. ive found many 10-30 level players luring the beginers to the wild with the promise of wealth and fortune.when they get there they kill them.
people will offer you money if you give them your password and such.
many of the people are just looking for boyfriends and girlfriends (bf and gf) and some will only do it to con things out of you.
people almost never get banned and bag launguage is rampant.
one thing i DO like is the constant updates to the game. it insures that there is always something to do and new things to expect.
problem with that is that most things are member only! of which im not.
although the holiday events are for everyone! (even though the things you get take up bank space.)
overall......im bored of runescape and am looking for a new (all free) mmorpg so tell me if you know one
p.s. my name on runescape is merloc555 and im on almost everyday from 8:00pm to 11:00pm central time zone

um dude rs only has about 800,000 members and about 1million to 1.5 million members...compared to better mmorpgs that aint a hell lot. i only recomend runescape if u have serious problems with your computer...like 16mb graphics card, 10 year old+ computer, ect.
um i never said anything about playing 24/7 -.-...if i did i cant look back at my post without deleting this one and look at my previous psot then returning and rewritting this one...
um yea u do have to play 24/7 well not neccesarily that lnog but u get my point, a long time each day. or you can try playing for a couple years a few hours a day...

maple story...ive looked at that im im thinking about it
i can afford a 30.00$ or less retail price if need be.i dont monthly charges.
p.s. ive found that finding my way in the forums is difficult. i almost couldnt find this one.

yeah the graphics arent what they could be but its still i very good interactive game,sorta, i mean to say there are alot of things you can do

Do you guys have any idea how much people play rs?
Theres always atleast 100k people on, and it peaks at around 300k,
thats on at any one time, the most played game behind WoW, (Member subs)

rofl 300k, the record is 240k something. its usually around 180k and those are about the only people that really play runescape -.-...considering the amount of people quitting and the amount of multiple accounts. i did say about 1m-1.5m players total, they say 10mil but there exaggerating dere and not taking into account multiple accounts and people quitting...
