General: Bethesda Buys Fallout IP

I have to say that I dont agree that Bethesda does everything right. I think that vanilla Oblivion was a seriously dumbed down version of Morrowind and an insult to RPG fans, in other words it was clearly a dumbed down consol/pc port. So in short im not holding my breath for either the Fallout MMO or Fallout 3, since black isles doesnt exist anymore.

I agree with lordcrapalot, Bethesda made Morrowind which is one of my favorite games of all time, but they also made Oblivion.... and I would hate to see another game that values graphics and physics over gameplay, content and longevity. But we'll see, if Bethesda can make one great game, maybe they can pull off another one.... even if its in another genre entirely, sci-fi mmorpg.

I've gotta say I'm happy so many people in this thread realize the dumbed-down job Bethesda pulled on TES:IV (and will probably pull on Fallout 3).



As far as the Fallout MMO goes...Herve Caen has about as much chance of making the game as Tim Cain has of buying the Fallout IP from Bethesda...



Be looking for a Fallout MMO designed and published by Bethesda sometime in 2012 I say.

I don't understand why everyone is talking about Bethesda here.  The way I understand it Bethesda is making Fallout 3, a single player game, not the Fallout MMOG.  I understand that Interplay is to persue production of a Fallout MMOG, correct?
