Items in Lotro

Are items as important as in wow ? cause that really ruined the game for me , I like the versatality of items though . I do however don't want to grind hours and hours for one particular item . Hope it will be like daoc that playercrafted is as good as dropitems.

    Yes similar to DaoC....

    Dev's have stated that the time and effort would be about the same to craft rares as well as Raid for rares....

    You are in luck, player crafted, solo and fellowship quest  items are better than most drops. You can build your character up by accomplishing deeds that enhance your base attributes, regardless of what you wear or use.

     Its not as gear focused because of the lack of traditional PvP, LOTRO has PvMP and only the "P" may use items found or made in the game world.
