I don't understand what you mean by "WoW feeling".

If you want it to fee like WoW, go play WoW. I'm not trying to be mean, but that's what I'd be doing if I were your position.

Well, first off. It's not WoW. I know some say that it is like WoW but that is because there are some similar interface choices.

Also, lvl 10 is not going to do it. sorry. Whether you feel this is an issue or not, you are going to have to get into the late teens in order to really start "feeling" the game.

Of course it is possible that the game is not for you. No harm in that.

But if you are looking for Wow then you need to look in WoW.

I'm sorry but when I rise over a hill and the sky actually darkens to a sick greenish/blackish color and the wind picks up and a shadowed, dark figure comes from his hidden place to do battle and he is several lvls above the highest one in your party... (and your party member neglected to tell you that this was the quest he was doing and you thought you were just helping him collect wood)

Well, that is what this game is about.

    The game is just fair............

It is as good as any other class based quest-centric MMO on the market currently. I find the whole system stifling having played at least one other MMO that didnt require that you choose a particular class and proceed along a linear development of that character only to turn out identical to all others of the same profession.

I really wish someone would create games with these excellent IPs that mimic the early days of SWG in wich we were free to pick and choose the skills we found most useful and mix and match in order to make a unique character with the capabilities which best suit our individual playstyle.

Another boring pigeonholed class/level based MMO was not what this IP deserved......

What a lame brain, using such a forum name to start with and then for their first post write troll comments.

What, you have no courage to post with your regular forum name?  I thought that was the case, another coward post.

The game is more than just "fair". I've been extremely frustrated myself with the MMOs that have come out over the last few years, but really like this game.

For some people to expect game developers to completely re-invent the genre is a little ridiculous if you ask me. A lot of money and time is invested in these projects and to go too far outside the established framework would be a huge gamble that no one is going to want to take.

The quests here are great. Sure, most still boil down to the same basic formulas, but if you actually take time to read the quests, most have a good story to them. The main storyline quests are excellent, I don't see anything like that in WoW or any other MMO I've played recently.

The world is beautiful and the terrain the most "realistic" yet of any MMO I've played, hunting, resource gathering and exploring can be very rewarding, immersive fun for those who like that (I do myself).

The game has classes, sure, but most of them are in one way or the other outside the same old, same old we see in most games. Minstrel is a great example, music rather than magic to buff and heal. The buffs all double as attacks, so you are contributing DPS at the same time. The Ballad system is tiered, requiring a buff of the previous tier be active on the Minstrel to allow applying one from the next tier. Different from any class I've played elsewhere and requiring strategic thinking and tactics that evolve situationally.

All the classes have these little quirks, which get introduced as you level up. I can't help but think most of the negative comments on the "boring" class system are from people who either haven't played or haven't played deep enough.

The crafting system is much more involved than WoW, not quite as involved as EQ2. Pretty good balance in my eyes. I like the way they require you to chose a pre-bundled trio of skills.

Depth beneath the surface comes in with traits. This is a fairly hardcore system for a casual friendly game. Earning traits requires a time commitment, either through exploration or hunting. Of course early on you are probably going to end up with a fair variety of traits, but I'm sure as you level up (the traits progress, upgradable to the next level by completeing other deeds with the same trait reward), people are going to focus on advancing their prefered traits and there will be a wider disparity between people of the same class at the higher levels. You have to earn these trait rewards, which makes the game a lot more hard core than WoW or EQ2.

This game honestly gets better and better as you go. People who call the game boring are either easy bored or have very short attention spans.

This game manages to be casual friendly (not only friendly to newer players, but to experienced players with time constraints), while not being a game on easy mode. It's a successful blending of some old school elements with newer ones, for the most part combining the best and dropping the worst.

It's definitely a game that will have greatest appeal for mature players (mentally, not chronologically) and players who can think.

Bingo, its not going to be a HUGE OMG Warcraft success (IMO) but it most def has its nitch in the world of MMO's.

Oh dude, you played like 10 levels and seriously, you didn't get the "WoW feeling"... wow, now that's a surprise. how about having the other lobe removed too, I know a guy in a clinic... well, that's another story I guess...

Pathetic comments. If you find it boring then 'you' are boring. You need a jazzed up cartoon world fulls of kids to get a thrill. Go play WoW. I left WoW at 70th level so i know what i'm talking about and this is better than WoW. There's nothing not seen in any other mmorpg, the mailboxes (WoW), the horses from one place to another (DAoC), the banks (UO), the Titles (EQII), rewards for exploring (SWG)  but it takes all those things and fuses them together into something new. the mailboxes and the Milestones look like they belong, everything looks right and the skills system works well.

Put it like this, it's been a long time since i've played a game six hours straight on a launch day.

I agree. There won't be many 12 year olds, or teenagers or early 20s with a mental age of 12 playing. Brilliant! At last a game for adults.

I don't see much point in evaluating a game by it's mechanics.  It's the end, not the means that matters to me.  And I find the game fun, as I did Horizons and EVE, both of which had much more flexible character growth. "It ain't whatcha do, it's howja do it" doesn't work for games.

Boring.. .yet another trolling post by someone with a post count of less than 10..... why do they feel obligated to come to this forum and "save" us from ourselves, or start a thread to enlighten us with their opinion?

Regardless, if you only played one character/class up to level 10, you just might not have got the full experience. (esp if you played something like a Burgler and never grouped up).

Or..the game just might not be for you...nothing wrong with that...
