Hey all,

I just uploaded some of my favourite screenshots. In case you guys are interested how the game looks and what can you expect from the LOTRO world, I hope you like them. I really thought I'd never find an MMORPG with an artistic direction as good as WoW's one, but I have to honestly say that I'm already in love with Turbine's vision of Middle Earth. Anyways, hope you enjoy them:

The next ones were taken with the high res *.dat file, that in my opinion, makes the game looks as one of the most beautiful MMORPG's ever

WOW! Just when I think I've seen as much beauty as this game can display, a thread like this shows up. The graphics in this game are just out-freaking-standing. Only thing I would wish for is some advanced character models with more polygons, not different artwork. The artwork in this game is very pleasing to the eye.

And btw, your english is ten times better than most of the posters around here. Saludos!

Thanks for sharing! Shot 69 and 63 look cool, but I'm afraid something about the game just dosn't make it very visually appealing to me. Maybe it's the lack of detail and personality on the characters faces, or the way the world looks, I dunno kinda washed out. I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's an issue with lighting. Regardless, I'm not trying to talk art here. Thanks again!

hehe, yeah, same, I think they could improve the character models, at least the elf/human ones.



It is a pain to write a good opinion about a game in those forums without having a perfect english, you know, first thing trolls will say is "is that english?" =P

Washed out is Vanguard, the lighting in LotrO is hands down the best use of environmental lighting in any mmo to date. The way the entire environment changes is breath taking, you say your an environmental artist, and I have a bridge for sale in London.

Please by all means , show us your examples of well lit environment .....

when you are going to prance around with "environmental artist" in your sig, it is put up or shut up time.

Simple task, show me your game world with environmental lighting that can change on a whim .

Really . This  characterimage shows no personality , He looks plain and very poor lit too , very little personality .....

Why should one have to prove that there is something better just because one doesn't like a specific thing.

Put up or shut up, my way or the highway, they are just cliche's that doesn't work.



But it wasn't that I referred to I was referring to that sneak around attitude, wonder what he has said that can be used against him etc.

Oh well I think the game looks ok , then agiasn i seen asian mmos that look much better.... but were still crap.

Tho i do not think lotr is crap.

This is the type of forum member mmorpg.com made me, use facts and presentations to back your statements, if you do not use either / or anything you post can be held for the court of fans .
