So far only 3 or 4 people have actually bothered the read the first post. Id say that leaves everyone else in a position where they either have to admit they cannot read or comprehend English, they are too stupid to understand the joke in the post OR they somehow had the part of the brain that controlls humour and perspective removed. Either that, or that have to admit they didnt read the post and replied to defend WoW on pure reflex because they are desperate to argue with someone.

There is only one certainty and that is that time will eventually kill wow. (ie: get old...duh)
As to LotR vs WoW, I do think LotR will take some customers from WoW, enough to put a dent in WoW? I think not. BUT, Collectively LoTR, WAR, Gogs and Heroes, Star Trek, AOC, etc..., will scatter the WoW population enough that servers will close. Im saying it will take another year or year and a half before WoW's population deflates.
A succesful game like WoW is going to do well for years to come, but the INSANE success they've had will be neutralized by all the other anticipated titles coming out in 07' 08'.
Personally I think most if not all MMO's these days are missing that special element. That special element, which SWG had, was this mystery of unlocking Jedi. That concept alone, made the feel of grind and all other things that make an MMO boring feel USEFULL and with PURPOSE. Cause you knew... at the end of the day... everything you did... was bringing you closer to unlocking something powerful and a handfull of people had. Now that was an MMO concept worth playing. I lost sleep grinding in that game... cause it was WORTH IT!!
