I don't know if any of you remember it, but when UO was in the eairly days it was really horrible and laggy, so pretty much no one could play. So alot (like the entire server) went to one bar, got naked and got so drunk they started to vomit. It was a virtual protest againts the poor servers (which may have been "good" back then, cause come on a brand new thing going on here). I doubt it is possible to get drunk in VG, and to even vomit. But what if everyone just stoped... got naked... and danced the night away or trained a massive amount of mobs to the main cities in attempt to crash the server! Like BRM pvp battles.... like 250+ vs 200+ duke it out and crashes the server 4 times in one night lol.
Or try and find something that alot of people can due easier with their low preformance they're getting. I doubt it would really do much, but would be fun to do. What's the worse that can happen? SOE ban EVERYONE involved in the protest? Great customer support.
Note: If a GM ports players to lower strain, just try and gather at another city or area. It has to be where alot of NPC or monsters roam, the more the better.
Note 2: I don't play VG, nor will I ever, but it would be crazy to see something like that happen again.

The problem isn't the servers though in VG's case, but the client itself.
I've gotten good latency for all of my time playing which has been more than a month.

Just a thought, wont happen ever, but funny nontheless.
I ran the game with 40+ FPS on a p4 3.4 ghz, 6800 GT, 1 gig of ram btw.
What settings?
I'm on a 2ghz DC AMD with 2 gigs ram and a 6800 as well.
I have mine customized for the best performance with 0% LOD and a severely reduced clipping plane.
The only setting that I have to hamper performance is the texture quality which I have set to very high.
I usually get around 20 FPS -30 FPS in the wild... 5-10 fps when I'm in a group, or in a crowded area.
