When I started playing MMOs, I first played Runescape.  I was a wizard on Runescape but it sucked, mainly because more than half of the damn time you're mining for rune essence and then you have to make the rune with a talisman or just buy the runes etc.  Anyways it wasn't really a great system.  I am now looking for an MMO that has a good magic class that you can do without the constant grinding and farming.

    It actually doesn't have to be free.  I'm willing to pay monthly.
