Time Gate Studios CEO Adel Chaveleh talks about their efforts to increase the level of fan support for their as of yet un-named games, including an un-named upcoming MMO.
2007 is going to be a big year for TimeGate. As you probably already know, we're hard at work developing three new games, two of which (a multiplatform FPS and an ambitious MMO) are based in brand new worlds we've created... needless to say, we're really excited about showing you those games and to get you talking about them. To that end, you should start noticing some changes around here, as we redesign the website and expand our community efforts to give you easier access to game information, more frequent updates and more ways to get involved in the TimeGate community.
One of our primary goals has always been to deliver awesome games that push genre boundaries. As we move forward with the unannounced games, we want to push the boundaries of fan support, too. We'll be increasing our involvement on the message boards, answering questions about game features, news, screenshots and anything else we release. We'll start hosting polls and surveys that will help us get a better idea of what you really want to see in TimeGate's upcoming games; after all, you're the ones buying the games, so we hope we're making games that inspire, challenge and engage you.

I’m getting tired of these ridiculous press releases. “I would like to announce that at some time in the near future we will have something to announce. Thanks for your time.”
Imagine if an automotive manufacturer called a press conference to announce that they were developing a few new models. They weren’t ready to tell you the name of the new models, which category they fall in, or any other details. They simply wanted you to know that they were working very hard on some new models and they were very excited about it. Oh yea, they also wanted to tell you about the new engineers they hired, and the really neat designer guy too.
You're a freakin’ auto manufacturer. It is a given that you are working on new vehicles! If you are a gaming company, we assume you are working on—oh, let me guess---a game?
Oh wait... I guess the Vanbois, former D&L fanbois, and former DDO fanbois will be all over this.
I recently typed at my computer.
Common practice in every industry and the reason you see more of it in the gaming industry now is because of what Blizzard did with WoW prior to release.
You have to get people looking at your games well before release in order to start building a prospective player base or customer base. It should not really be that hard to understand.
Everyday I check for news on MMOs and everyday im dissapointed in this crap.
