It's crazy to think that games like, 8 years ago were only for nerds.  Now it seems like even the coolest of coolest people play MMo's now, LOL.  man how things change.

You know Blizzard paid for that plug. They got a plug in Stargate: Atlantis when one of the characters used World of Warcraft to distract one of the scientists away from his duties. Blizzard pays for plugs like that, otherwise the script writers would just use an obtuse name that doesn't really exist.

EDIT: Here's a couple articles about the practice of in-script advertising:

the point is not if blizzard is paying or not for such things (of course they are), the point is, can you imagine Atari nearing the producers of A-team and telling them "hey, we have this game called pong and we want to advertise it in your show..." the laughters would follow.

Now it is not only possible, but becoming widespread. Videogames are becoming a AAA entertainment industry... a shame the Companies are still in the "Niche" market mentality for the most part...

Hey, just as a sort of parody to your quote there, dunno if you heard it or not:

"If you make a man a fire, you will keep him warm for a night. If you set a man on fire, you will keep him warm for the rest of his life."

Anyway, on-topic. Yeh videogames are becoming more widespread, which means if I decide to start up some guild in a new MMO (like when AOC or WAR comes out) then I can actually do the recruitment from a ton of rl people I know, which means if they try to screw me over somehow, i can beat their arses irl.

Most of the true female gamers I've met in WoW have been on the roleplaying realms.

But I prefer the brutality and manliness of the NonRP-PvP servers, though you find the odd girl there too.

Tip: Girls don't find Dwarves attractive, apparrently, just so you know.  Those wenches :p

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

Odd - I seem to spend a lot of my time adventuring with a girl who plays a dwarf. She even persuaded me to make my Paladin a female dwarf when I created it :-)
