It will never cease to amaze me how quickly people are willing to give up their freedoms because of something like the VA shooting.  Yes, it was absolutely horrible that the shooting took place.  But I do not see how limiting my freedom will bring back any of those victims, or prevent others from being killed.  Someone sick enough to kill that many people with a firearm would have done it with something else if they had no access to guns.  And if more law abiding people had guns, maybe someone would have shot the bastard before he killed so many people.

A gun is no more a weapon than a knife.  Both are tools with valid uses, which everyone should have.  Both can kill, and banning either one will do nothing but take away freedom from those who follow the law.  Murder will happen whether by gun or by hand.

I believe killing is just about the only purpose of a gun, whereas a knife has many utilities. Comparing the two like that is a bit of a stretch.



As for bearing arms, it's one of the only rights we have left, so I'm for allowing it. I have no personal use for a gun because I have no debt collection. In the words of the late Notorious BIG:

I told a good friend of mine the second I heard about this on the news: "Well, here comes a bunch of new bills for gun control and anti-violence in video games."



*damnit, I really hate it when two A-10 Warthogs fly over my house. They're loud as hell.

I believe many more people will get into shootouts if they carry guns.



People do silly stuff when they are mad. people get into fights, sometimes even use objects as weapons, simply because they are angry. its hard to think clear when people have such strong emotions as anger or sadness. Now what do you think would happen if those people carried guns? I'm sure you can fill that in yourself.

Not to mention it wiill make people who have bad intentions to get their hands on a weapon to kill much more easy.



Comparing it to a knife is a bit silly. First, a knife is used for more things. second, do you really think a murdered would kill so many victims with a simple knife? (unless he is some kind of navy SEAL). A gun is there to kill, and it really isn't even that hard.
