Lineage II, WoW, EQ2 & LOTRO

Hi everyone

After alot of research I have been looking to play one of the following game,

Lineage II

World Of Warcraft

Everquest II

Lord Of The Rings Online

Not really sure which one to play, I'm looking for somthing that I can join partys with so I don't have to solo all the time, Problem with EQ2 is I can't find the expansion packs >.< only upto Desert Of Flames,

I used to play FFXI but I don't really wanna stick around anymore I've done what I wanted.

Looking for a game I can play long term , I don't want somthing I can go from lv 1 to high up in like a week but I don't want somthing where I spend weeks getting 1 lvl either lol.

I'm very Part based I love groupin and going off on hunts,

I like the look of LoTRO I know it's not out for another 6 days tho but I can wait that long lol.

I'd want to be a Magic Type class Summoner, Black Mage, Enchanter, Healer etc any magic class is cool

Any thoughts or ideas?

With those requirements I would suggest you drop out Lineage 2 because it's a huge grind-fest. I'd also drop WoW because it's the fastest game to level in out of the 4 you mentioned.

So you are left with LOTRO and EQ2. Both are good games IMHO and plenty fun to play.

With EQ2 you get a game that pretty much has ironed out most of it's bugs and refined it's game play down. The draw back is that the community in EQ2 is extremely top heavy ( level wise )so noob areas will be spares in terms of new players actually playing in those areas.

With LOTRO you get a chance to start at the beginning of a MMO as it launches which means you won't have to worry about spending hours LFGing for stuff. Everyone will be new to the game and leveling up with you so you can complete a lot of the group content. LOTRO is also pretty much bug free for the most part.

The only draw backs is that you won't have the same amount of content as EQ2. Though with future content updats and expansions that should not be a problem in LOTRO.

Both game have summoning/pet classes. Captin, and Loremaster for LOTRO / Necromancer and Conjurer for EQ2. Both games are fun to play. The decision will be a tough one but if it was me I'd go with the newer game so that I can grow with the community instead of trying to play catch up. Plus the $199 one time offer of a lifetime subscription for LOTRO is the best MMO deal I've seen to date IMHO. Especially if you want to play a game for a long time.

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

    Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:

    GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

    Cool I'll try LOTRO then,

I'll be paying per month cause I don't know when I'll wanna just stop playing all together hehe.

I had ago on L2 and it is SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWW takes hours to lvl lol

    and thats below 10 >.<

    Thanks ^^

I think LOTRO is only like £6.00 PCM

I don't know if WoW has a free trial, but EQ II does and LotRO is in free open beta right now.  If I were you and I still couldn't decide after doing my own research, I'd try them both out for a week or so.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
