Is SWG bringing back Hybrid Templates?

    It's extremely doubtful but look at it this way, it won't matter what they do to this game since it will never, never, ever be the same again. This is another game, not the one it began with back in 2003, another totally different game which still happens to have the same name of SWG, unfortunately.

    The same planets, the same houses for the majority but everything else is different. Even the way you walk around is different. There's not much left from the old days.

    Pull up the options window and un-check  'off set camera' and it's exactly like the old way.

    They removed them because they thought it took too much effort to keep them balanced.  That was back when they had more than 15 people working on the game and were willing to invest in the game.  At this point, they have slashed the game's budget to the bare minimum, and have also cut the number of people on the project to the lowest number they can still fulfill the terms of the licensing contract with.  If they couldn't manage it with a full team of people working on the game, with the necessary resourced dedicated to it, how could they do it with rubber band and a paper clip?



    This doesn't mean there aren't bugs that can accomplish what you want (several people who are currently subscribed to the game have exactly what you posted), but they aren't intentional, and they had to turn off server transfers for a while to prevent it.  Last I heard, it wasn't yet fixed...

    Even if it is true its still not enough to get me back paying.. Besides its probably their fix to the current double prof exploit made after the NGE when people transferred servers.. The game is pretty much garbage now and way more unbalanced than anything I've ever seen..

    Try taking a close-up centered screenshot of your own character and then tell us it's the same.  Also, all actions characters perform  in the game are 2-3x faster than before.

    - How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?

    - I don't know, but some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don't they?

    Hybrids wont work in the level based NGE nore in its fast paced poke fest..The talent sys...i mean expertise system is suppose to allow you more options..Who knows stranger things have happend and maybe they can revamp one more time..Id give em a third shot to fix things..

    Well Hybirds worked in the level based CU, so why not NGE?   Also the way BM is being implimented,  there will be a template for hybird classes.  Hopefully this will make it easier to impliment other hybirds as they will have a pattern to follow.   And maybe a choose of what your Hybird will be, it would be great to be able to add part of another template to enhance the one we have now.   Sorta a mini-sandbox.

    I would really like to see a way to earn extra Expertise Points that could be used in a second template to create a hybird class, what would be nice indeed.

    I think this is something that is going to happen sooner then people think. With this BM thing being set as a 3 expertise wheel that anyone can get I cant see why they could not add in another wheel for a general expertise. Now that i think about it, they did mintion a 3rd wheel of general skills when they first put in the expertise system.

    I would guess they will work on the general expertise skills with every chapter as well as small content updates. pre-nge it seemed that the skills system was the content and for the most part the biggest thing people are saying they one back now. They can rework the parks and whatever else, and with this new player story event tool i think  this will hold most players over for a minute. i would bet money that if they announced that in chapter 7 they are putting in new expertise wheels that will let player mix and match like before they would see a population spike so high that even the hatter (myself included) could not deny the Blix and his boys are on the right path.  i've been looking the the oboards over there and people are going nuts over this BM thing so much so that i might have to take up there free trail offer and head over the TC tonight.
