Age of Conan: Hyborean Lore Updates

The Age of Conan Official site has been updated with new lore. The latest lore is on the Ymirish and their leader Grimnir Stormbringer.

The newest threat in the hordes of malicious Vanir raiders is the presence of white-haired, yellow eyed warriors known to their Nordheimer brothers as the Ymirish. These warriors serve as commanders in the ravening host, blessed with the blood of Ymir in their veins, making them taller, stronger and more savage than mere mortal Vanir.

Few Cimmerian warriors can stand against a Ymirish fighter in battle. Their strength is unrivalled because of their god's blood, and though they are humans just as the Vanir and the Aesir of Nordheim, the Ymirish are also so much more than their northern kin. No one understands the exact nature of the Ymirish, or how truly divine their lineage is, but the blood of Ymir's true sons, the frost-giants, beats in their bodies. It is thinner than in their warlord Grimnir Stormbringer, but it is enough to gift them with remarkable endurance and physical might.

Hey, here's an idea.

Instead of all this long-winded lore-text and web diaries showing the developers droning on and on and fly-by movies of the scenery, how about you SHOW US MORE OF THE GAME IN ACTION?

How about in-game screenshots of the dozens of different classes you've been announcing?  How about some actual PvP footage instead of pre-set scenes?    How about a press conference where you let reviewers play the game?

I guess Funcom is playing the old-school game and keeping things under wraps.  I guess I can understand that since things can get ripped off so easily in MMORPGs. 

I'm just getting impatient to see something more concrete.  The game is supposed to come out in half a year, isn't it? 

Dimatarion

The world aint falling apart just because there wasnt any pictures or videos in this friday's update. However, im taking a wild guess that they have this update because they are participating in the RPC convention in Germany this weekend, hence we might see some new stuff - including new ingame footage and screenshots - today, tomorrow or early next week when the reporters have finished their articles and whatnot.
