    hmmmm...

I'm not going to answer this one based upon whether or not I think AA is 'better' than another MMORPG or not. That would be hard for me to do because I think it's subjective. In other words I think certain games appeal to certain people for different reasons.

The fun factor for me has made AA my number 1 MMO for right now. I just enjoy the whole car thing. Blowing stuff up, gathering loot, updating my car. It just works for me. Nothing about the game feels like work to me, and that includes farming for mats to do crafting.  I actually set aside time to go farming for magnetics and even that isn't even boring.

I also love the effects, music, and physics of the game. Are there better racing or car simulations out there? Probably. But who cares.  Again, this (AA) just works for me.

There are some in the community who are kinda irritating, but that's definitely a minority. For the most part the community is funny, helpful, and engaging.

Do I get a group all the time? No. But I think this is due to low population and is not a fault of the game. Do I get answers to my questions all the time? No. But again, I think it's due to the low population.

Do I have fun every time I login: YES. And some night sI will just log in and just get a level or two of crafting in - and that's even fun. I think the key here is you can put in time, here and there, and every time feel like you've accomplished something.

I'm a level 24 right now. Cap is currently at 80. And you know, I'm not rushing to get to 80 - because I love the journey. And for me, that's why I play. I'm not a rush-to-end-game type of player. To me it's all about the road - and there are plenty of roads in AA (jk).

I think either you like this game or not, and that's to be expected. It's different and refreshing (to me anyway). They (NetDevil) tried something new with MMO fundamentals as the basis (classes, crafting, in-game economy etc.) and automobile mayhem as the environment and catalyst. To me - it's a winning combination. To others it might not be - and that's fine.

To the OP - I hope you enjoy your time in AA and welcome...

I suggest playing the 14-day free trial, and deciding for yourself. 14 days is enough time to give you a good feel for what the game is all about.

fgauer, fantastic reply! I agree with your analysis of the game. It's funny, my style of playing is exactly the same as yours...it's the journey, not the destination when it comes to leveling.

Also, this game isn't for everyone...you're exactly right. Still, for people who are looking for a fun, relaxing change change of pace in the MMOG world, this game might be what you're looking for.
