Looking for a particular type of MMORPG

I've played many games from the mainstream ones such as WoW and FFXI. But to be honest, my fondest memories are from playing a grindfest game with great PVP called Legend Of Mir. The community was great. It wasn't huge, but much so a close-knit community were alot of people knew each other, and i think that's what made it so great for me. Not to mention my guild was great.



I was wondering if anyone could suggest similar games like this? I'm not looking for a HUGE community but not a dying community either. Grindfest games do appeal to me, as i don't get to play too often so it's nice just to log on and solo a bit while talking to my guild or whatever. I do like PVP though, defintley some element of PVP would be nice.



I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Sounds like Lineage II would be perfect for you. It's all about endless grinding and PVP.

Although its a 2D game, NexusTK has endless hunting capabilities with endless acquirable stats you can gain. Plus, not to mention the numerous amount of PvP available.



Some major types of PvP in NexusTK.



Each main town has an arena that has rooms in it you can duel people.



Certain Arenas hold certain PvP events.

1. Bloodlust (many themes, but the main idea is to kill opposing team)

2. Riches (one theme, kill opposing team to get a prize)

3. Elixir (capture the bag with bows and arrows)





You can also buy a house and set it up for PvP in there; that way you can invite your friends to PvP

Not the best PvP game, but if you like "close-knit communities", you might want to try Dofus. ( http://www.dofus.co.uk )

Guild wars is a nice mmorpg...kind of easy to lvl up but great pvp....give it a try.Or WOW....not as great in pvp but still a very good game.
