in Lord of the Rings Online

Hi everyone , im from the uk and i pre-ordered my game 13days before launch from play.com hoping to get it 10days before launch as was advertised on the site , i did not recieve the game and here we are only 1 day before launch and still no game , from my understanding i just lost 10days of free lord of the rings online playing time and play.com should refund me the £8.99 ... Does everyone here agree? or has this happened to you too? , normally play.com are great having the games on the doorstep two days after being ordered and normally on the realease date also.

    You spelled "opinion" wrong in your signature.



    And also in your signature you spelled "their" wrong.

    it's not "there" opinion, it's "their" opinion. The word "there" refers to a physical position.



    But even then the phrase would be a bit outdated. "Everyone" is, believe it or not, is a single noun.

    We say: "Everyone goes there" just like with any other single noun. So "their" would not apply to "everyone".

    The new politically correct way to say the phrase would be:



    "Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion , even if it is totally wrong." (Johny Depp)

    EU is ahead launch wise not behind. The EU go into full launch this Tuesday. It seems that Play didn't email you the early access code :(

    As you can see i changed my sig occordingly , but i did not correct it "politically" as that is nto what he said and thus it would not make it a quote , thanks for your surrport on the money back thing ill ring them as soon as my game gets here so i don't have to return it lol , i do still wana play the game though!

    You ordered the pre-order version right? Not the standard version? if you ordered the Standard Version you get it tomorrow... If you ordered the pre-order, nevermind, you should try to get your refund...

    I simply clicked the "Pre-order" button and the bill was sent to my credit card , i then expected to get a pre-order version because the site stated (Pre-order before the 14th april and get to lay the game 10days before anyone else! or somthing along those lines)

    A: Untrue. Games are shipped from the UK if they are purchased from the UK. I bought my copy from Codemasters directy and husband bought his from Game.





    B. Again untrue. If anything we are ahead of the US because our pre-release isn't beta. These are our live servers come Tuesday. Release is exactly the same time for around the world.

    If you just clicked on pre-order, you pre-ordered the "Standard Edition"... To pre-order for the 10 day headstart you had to order the pre-order version AND the standard version.



    Orders are shipped from the european distributor in your country (e.g. here in Germany it's the company that localized the game as "Herr der Ringe Online")



    As already stated the final game goes live tomorrow night 0:00.



    If you didn't order the pre-order and just pre-ordered the game, you will get your copy tomorrow and be able to play at midnight.

    That smells of email spam filters to me. I bet your email filtered out your "welcome to LOTRO! - you 10 day early access code included" email (damn those bulk email spam settings!). Either that or play.com messed up somewhere - so get your money back for that!

    Nah i checked my email every day , and the bulk and spam boxes , the game game today but i cant play it untill tomorrow cos they only sent me the normal activation code , i am so complaining!

    P.S and too the guy with Boom Headshot as his avatar (i dont no ur name sorry) there was only one game on the site and it said "If you pre-order before the 14th april you get to play the game 10days before the offical realese , which i did i pre-ordered there was only one game , only ONE button i checked and double checked.

    man. You still have many option sfor this preorder, you can become a founder {yeah, its really cool. OMG you can become a founder, coooool ^^ xD}



    Advice:

    -Stop playing this game, its s*cks. Just wasting your money and getting fatter when playing the game ;P xD

    Actaly i have not recieved any of the pre-order promotions , i cannot become a founder and i cannot play the game untill it is released i am very annoyed

    This is why you should buy your games from a store and just bypass the need to get a game shipped. I see this all the time, where people pre-order a game online, and then it doesn't arrive the day of release, or the buyer doesn't get something that was promised and the whole thing is just one big mess.



    Nothing beats getting a physical copy of the beta disk and being able to walk into your local EB and pick up a game on its release day.

    Yeah it sucks but having to do all of my shopping online also sucks (im too ill to go into town and order the game from a shop , i have to buy it online) and ive been buying off play.com for many years now and normally the games come on the day of realese , or if already realesed they come one- two days after being ordered , i found them very reliable in the past and this is the only mistake i have known them to make , needless to say i wrote them a complaint email and asked for a full refund.

    You can still download the game beta online [it'll be more up to date than the disc you receive in the next few days, anyway].  Since you Pre-ordered, you will qualify for the Founder's benefits:  cape and ring, and the choice of: $200 Lifetime membership <no monthly fees> OR $10/month instead of $15 <but you cannot let it lapse for a month if you do this option>.  I believe that it states on the LOTRO website that you can input the Preorder key until 24 May and still get these benefits.  Just be sure to enter the Preorder Key FIRST, then the Retail Key [in the box you get in the mail].

     

    I'd suggest that you call/email Play.com's customer service and ask about your Preorder key - I had a problem with mine from Amazon.com and they emailed me the key within 24hrs.

    I did NOT get a pre-order key so i do NOT qualify for any of the ingame items or founders thing

     

    I did TRY and contact play.com but there is no contact infomation on the site nor in the email , only an FAQ , so now i cannot complain , cannot get my money back and cannot get any free ingame items! I am really annoyed about this but there is knothing i can do! , i did email the only address on any of the play.com pages support@play.com but i recieved an email back saying this email address inbox is not read and i should read the FAQ , i am really annoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if anyone know anyway of contacting play.com that works please tell me.

    That really suxs dude. Wish i could help. Have you tried pre ordering the game from another site. If you do and you get the pre order code as long as you enter it before you enter the retail code you will get the founders pricing and items. I believe you have until the 24th of may to enter the pre order code. You just can't pre order after the 24th of april. I know this probably isn't what you want to hear but it is about all i can think for you to do. Hope you get ahold of play.com and get your money back.

    I would man ,  but i dont have enough money to pay for the game twice! since i cant send my play.com one back or get a refund...

    I don't understand why you waited this long tbh.

    You could have gone into any GAME store an picked up  pre-order pack for £1.99 which would have solved all your problems day ago if you were that bothered...
