High level beta players question

Hail all,

I am playing lotro for 6 days now and  I love it alot...best mmorpg I played so far and I am only lvl 19 (captain)

What is really want to know is how easy it is to find groups at end game level as a captain?

cause I  want to make an alt  I am doubting between a hunter ( think its also not group wanted at higher level ) or a champion.

if captain is really not a class that is wanted into fellowships at end-game i will make a burglar or guardian as alt,  though I  dont like those kind of play-style .

    A good captain is fantastic in a fellow in the end game.  If you want the honest truth, any class is really nice to have at the high levels in a fellow... if played correctly.  There seems to be a huge difference between "good" players and "poor" players. But that's the case in most games.  A good captain makes life MUCH easier for a minstrel, my class of choice.  The buffs all stack up nicely, additional health for the group, increased crit chance against target, etc etc... Captains are very good in a group.

    I do know that captains are good and I do know that I am a good player but.... do the rest of middle-earth know that captains are good in groups. I do know alot of mmorpg's where u can be as good as perfect and u dont find a group because of your class or specc.

    So what u say is that nobody will have trouble finding groups at end level gaming ? That would be awesome , however i must see that first before I believe that

    I'm curious as to how you have a level 19 Captain, being that there is a level cap of 15 right now.

    Or did you mean to say that you're level 15, and just typo'd? ;)

    My understanding is the EU version of their open beta doesn't have a level cap which could cause undo stress with new players come the 24th, but none the less anyone could of pre-ordered to do it. Im just envious of them. Sitting with 5 lvl 15's I am far to anxious!

    No they all have a level cap at 15 right now my friend. :) Atleast until tonight at midnight! :)

    I had a 45 champion in closed beta. The most popular classes in end-game are the most iconic--minstrel and guardian. After them, probably hunter and champion, burglar, then loremaster, and finally captain. One problem for captains is that though they are useful, they are outshone in almost every area because their abilities are usually covered by someone else who specializes in that. They can heal, but minstrels are better, they can do damage, but champions and hunters are better, they have a pet, but loremasters have a better pet.

    Burglars are a good choice because their abilities are not duplicated by any other class. Also, they have the awesome ability to initiate conjunctions, which can really turn the tide in a big fight.

    To be honest, I saw all of one captain being played after level 40. Once into that final stretch, I'd see (in order of frequency): guardian, hunter, champion, minstrel, loremaster, burglar, and captain.

    Since I didn't hit 50, I didn't bother with the PvP as a Free People, so it might be different versus the player-controlled monsters. Also, I was predominantly a solo player (though the last 3 levels I was in a lot of pugs because it was difficult to do any interesting questing solo at that point--the kill x of y quests you can always do solo).

    Nope, us in the EU dont have a lvl cap which i guess was because our pre-order was 1 week. I've already seen lvl 35s running around.
