Well I just bought the sub Saturday- I was on trial before that.
I currently have a level 20 Jedi - but trying to level up more but having trouble finding others to help me on my legacy quests so I usually have to solo which takes way more time.
I am on Chilastra and my name is Aeskob
So add me sometime or mail me or whichever and maybe we could party up and level together.
And if any high levels/vets could help me level up, I would greatly appreciate it.
This game is amazing aside from vets who whine, I love the endless world and all of the nice, friendly people who are always there to help each other out and to talk to.

I usually don't do this so I will apologize now but .....
On second thought ... I am happy you're happy. Enjoy!
I know I will get vets who will disagree and list off 1,001 bad things about this game.
But I like it, and know vets who have been on for 2-3 years that still play and love it as much as they did before the changes happened.
This really is the only game I found that I love and isn't repetitive.
Enjoy the game
But they gave all vets a 2 week trial and stuff so they should try it out, and just see what it is like.
What could it possibly hurt? If they don't like it, they could just uninstall.
A game should be a hobby, not something you alway think about/ talk about.
Games are meant for fun, and while you should have some dedicated time to play if you are paying for something, you should always put it aside for friends and family and interaction with people you can see face to face.
I was making an example to the times when I am on during afternoon/evening when people are on, and they are always there to talk to.
You said to give vets a free trial so they can check this version of Galaxies out to see if they like it?
I got news for you. Many vets have already tried it including myself not too long ago too.
First off, the server I was in is empty. I'm not the only one to say this either. I loved the space part as I think it's way better then that other game EVE but in the weeks I was here I never ever saw another ship up there of players, not once.
My character has many millions in credits as I was here since the begining "til 2 years. later. I tried to buy more missiles and I couldn't. Why? Becasue there were no shops selling them, actually, there were no shops, period! All my millions weren't any good as there was nowhere for me to spend it.
No matter where I went, it was empty. I did mange to see one person one time and another 2 another time but out of that, I saw no one. Now, if the game is as good as some of you like us to believe then why are the servers ghost towns? Don't tell me it's just some servers either. And a few players doesn't constitute "many" or "full" servers.
You don't think by now the game would have populations as it once did if in fact this game was worth the effort? Don't kid yourselves, you know if it was worth it, players would of been back to stay long ago. As it is it's barely staying afloat.
This is another game and not the game we once knew. Ok, with this said, some people like it but for the most part they never played the original Galaxies. And for the very few vets who still play it, well, thats another story altogether. They've adapted to this new game, thats it but not because it's the old game because it's not.
Giving a free trial won't do anything as I truly believe this game could be totally a free one and it still wouldn't make any difference to the population.
I honestly am in Chilastra, and I always see people especially in Mos Eisley.
I have seen missle packs for sale at the Bazaar Terminals.
I personally like the game, and everything it has to offer, but everyone does have a different opinion on games.
People love WOW, I think it is the stupidest and most retarded MMO I have ever played.
Everyone is different, and I hope you can find a game suitable to your interests.
Ya it was almost an adult retort until he added the line about WOW. Kinda show's you his mind set eh ? The ole go back to WOW comments are rather old. Especially when no one was talking about WOW

I don't like WOW comparisons but it is a good example to use.
Most people have played/ known people who have played/ seen videos of WOW and know basically the general concept of the game, thus making it very relatable to vets vs. new players.
I can say Blizzard slaughtered various aspects of WOW vs. people coming back to SWG saying SOE slaughtered the game.
It is merely a concept to think about and not to be taken so literally.
A big plus for SWG is that all of the old wannabe devs in manager monkey suits are gone. The new team seems to be on the ball and taking the game in good directions. No, it will probably never have the "magic" that Pre-CU had, but a good deal of the complexity and depth is coming back now.

What I thought was interesting about this is the fact that most of the changes that have been made to SWG made it MORE like WoW.
1. It went from a skill based system, to a skill based system with levels, to a level based system.
2. When it started there was little to nothing that couldn't be traded, now there are an abundance of items that are no-trade.
3. The expertise system is virtually identical to WoW's talent system.
The big differences in the two games are from things left over from prior versions. Housing and vendors are the major examples in this area. A second difference is that there are far more quests to do in WoW than SWG has. Another difference is that I can log into WoW at 3AM my time and find people, and I can log in at 2PM my time and find people. Finally, I experience an amazing degree of stability to the game unlike SWG.
Don't mistake this for a whine, I just find your logic faulty and I'm calling you out on that. If you hate WoW so much and think it is retarded, then you must by extension also hate the changes that came with the NGE and think they are retarded.
