so, just for kicks FFXI

FFXI was my first mmorpg, to me it was amazing, and if it werent for a lack of people to party with (or maybe it was just a lack of time) i think it would be a great game. but people really dont seem to like it.

so, not to talk down the game..but..why dont you like ffxi?

    I bought the game a couple weeks ago for me and my girlfriend. I thought the time commitment was going to be a LOT less. People warned me but I just thought they were hardcore players. Problem is you HAVE to be a hardcore player in the game to get anywhere. I don't have 6-8 hours a day for a game.



    Other then that I can't complain. It had a ton of stuff to do with a lot of different people! Lots of side stuff to do also

    Way too hardcore and time consuming for any casual player and a big chunk of MMORPG players appear to be casual players so I assume that is one big thing that turns people off about FFXI.

    I have some friends that play so I tried it.,  I just did not have enough of the time needed to commit to the game and I play a lot.

    This game is for professional MMO players.
