You should see that as a free trial, to see if you like it.

nice........with monthly fee..........hope they also apply for item mall as well.

really hope that they won't increase the montly fee for $15.00.

Consider $8.95 very cheap for most online game.

Couldn't agree more - I think it's great marketing as well -free to get you hooked - then cheaper than most.  No complaints here - I'll check it out.

Why not just check out granados espada and get it free most likely forever?

Why not just check out granados espada and get it free most likely forever? 1: Lag

    2: Timedifference

3: Granado Espada SG can be forced to put an IP block at any given time

4: If k2 network's changes work, Granado Espada singapore will be an inferior version
  • turnipzturnipz Member Posts: 531
None of those are guaranteed in the slightest, you may as well say k2 networks will come and rape your family if you dont play there.

In open beta with packed servers I have Little or no lag on Grenado Espada.   WHen I say Packed i mean, battling and trading around 20 or more families,  and with multi character 20 x 3 = 60 characters on the screen +

    1. Never had a problem with lag myself, so cool there.

    2. I keep weird hours anyway, so again it's cool.

    3. Hmmm, well since K2 not only changed the name but is also making gamewide changes, I'd say they qualify as two seperate games. So, no reason for ip block.

    4. K2 being involved automatically makes SotNW the inferior version, regardless of gameplay changes. (<<-- My opinion).

if SOTNW makes some changes, gameplay wise or offers some great appealing benefit that I would like, I would consider playing it, but id rather play the same game for free.

i would really look for GE to add an IP blocker now that new world is out, i would think they'd have to now.seen it before with Cabal Japan, use to play that all the time then one day BAM! IP blocked all that work lost , but in that case i still don't have a version I can play on :(.

Does the timezone difference even matter?  Assuming theres enough people playing from america anyways why would it matter?

And I think unless they negotiate a contract there wont be an ip block, and with everyone buying items from them theyd probably loose a lot of revenue.

I think it a reasonable bet that GE will be more popular and last longer than SotNW.   People think of this game as yet another Korean grinder, and whether it's true or not, it does affect how many Americans will even try this game out.

I'm also really surprised that people aren't having some trouble with lag in GE.  It's not that big a deal, but I get lag spikes every so often and when I go back to town, it sometimes freezes up for a few seconds.  I highly doubt the lag is caused by my computer since I normally have 60-100 FPS.

    1 and 2 are guaranteed.

Back when you posted number 3 the beta wasn't avaible, so I'll cut you some slack. However the beta is out now and it seems I was right. SotNW:GE has more features and content then GE singapore, making GE singapore inferior.

Most people don't even realise they are lagging. you know that one second delay before your characters start moving when you click somewhere? Thats not supposed to happen.  ort hat it takes a while before your characters use a skill? Thats not supposed to happen either. You'll notice the difference when you play the US version.

About the lag thing, I was 100% definately lagging when connecting to the sgGE servers.  I had 15 hops to their servers and there was a LOT of packet loss.  Ill try and find my traceroute to prove it.

I have 2 hops to K2 servers and no packetloss... sooooo... K2 wins that argument.  I have a guild of about 300+ from WoW (who play from all over the US) and many are playing in Closed right now and have at LEAST 12 different traceroutes to K2 and to IAH.  And everytime IAH loses.  So.  It's not a slight on them.  K2 has like 20 hops to the UK and even more to Germany and beyond.  Its just a fact of life when playing an online game.
