comeing back and starting anew!

Well hello all,
its been a while since ive played... (about a year to be exact)
but i have kept up with the updates (COP and TAU) so i dont think im going to be missing much
in the time i have been gone i have seen that alot of things have changed and i wanted to ask for any tips for a player starting out again. i had my level 40 and my level 30 classes. but things where different then than they were now so i wanted to know if there is any perk or something that i should look out for to make this transition nicely
ive decided to move from Ramuh and go to Ifrit to join my friends. my former linkshell broke up over the time i was gone. so i had nothing to come back to.
im planning on makeing a Redmage/Whitemage and after i get that up i want to work on somthing of a Ranger/nin or Thief/nin im not sure...
i eagerly await a responce ^_^
