How is PvP in this game? It is called Monster Play right?
Are there other forms of PvP? i.e. Duels, combat areas, instanced, arenas, monster vs hero?
Can I get a good run down on PvP in general, as well as, any future plans to introduce PvP in LotR (sorta like EQ2 did...but at a later date).

Every player who reaches level 10 can create a Monster character which has a fixed level of 50. You can then play that Monster character in the PvP zone, Ettenmoors. Ettenmoors is designed similar to a DAoC RvR zone, with keeps and such to be attacked and defended. There are also numerous quests both for the monsters (the "creeps") and the player-characters (the "freeps") which can be use to advance your character or monster by means of infamy or destiny points --- you accumulate these and then you can exchange them with an NPC for significant performance upgrades for your character or monster. Player-characters (freeps) cannot enter Ettenmoors until they are level 40.
So it's a closed PvP system on an RvR basis, with the caveat that one side (the Monsters) are not player-characters that have been leveled to 50, they are monsters that you can play at the fixed level of 50.

Very good explaination. Just wanted to add one thing to this. Monster Characters can be increased through the purchase of better skills, etc. Last I heard you can actually increase in power up to the level of an elite mob, but you don't ever level past 50.
