All the core classes are fun, though for PvE the Mesmer is perhaps a little more ineffective. Not that it's not enjoyable, but it's more noticeably effective in PvP than in PvE. The Nightfall-only professions, the Dervish and Paragon, are both awesome, I can't say enough great things about them both.

Hey nice 1 m8. Remember if you make any of the 6 core you'll only get the core and nightfall skills, so if you don't want to miss out on anything make a derv/ paragon, or you could buy the other 2 games

 Congrats...Nightfall is a solid choice as your first in the series.  I would suggest getting Prophecies next just to have the skills.  I bought prophecies when it first came out, then later on I bought Factions and Nightfall within a week of eachother...I couldn't resist.

Good Choice. You can collect all your heroes and then breeze through the other campaigns. Have fun !

I choose Monk which is fun and you don't have to worry about DPS because thats what heros are for
